It is a legitimate action on the part of government mainly done in public interest. However, when embarking on such actions, the authorities concerned need to ensure that the victims are rehabilitated and provided adequate compensation packages.

The property owner of the acquired land or premises must be honored with whatever he lost in the project execution. Governments must assure to the public that acquisition of land is carried out as a last option and will not be misused to any private construction activities. “Eminent Domain shall not be exercised unless it substantially furthers an important Government interest, and with respect to housing unless it specially fulfills an overriding Government purpose” (Ryskamp, 2007, p. 31).

One can accept Eminent Domain as a positive activity if done to take over a decayed or unused area, for constructing institutions like hospitals, schools and other inevitable human requirements, for real economic development of the land, which is in public interest. It will also open up employment avenues and increase revenue of the community. Thus, the final result will be the revitalization of the community around that vicinity. Eminent Domain right will negatively affect individual who are living in that area for a long time, or have been locating their business centre in that area over a considerable period of time.

Obviously, their fear that it will affect their business negatively is justified. Therefore, they may not be willing to part with their properly. The confiscation of one’s property without his full will despite for being a ‘just compensation” relates to a person’s feelings and emotions. A person apart from the money worth has feelings and memories attached to a place because it might be his or her roots. Therefore, it hampers the individual’s sentiments when the property or place is confiscated without the full permission of the individual.

Occupational Licensure: Quality and professional standard will have distinguished improvement and professional entry will be restricted which will help both government and public to avoid malpractices and encourage healthy competition. Renuemaration and wages of the professionals will have positive changes. The failure rate of candidates in examination will be higher which creates unemployment. Candidates will have to bear comparatively higher cost for entrance examination.Yahoo in China: Yahoo must keep their potential presence in a country like China, where human right violations occur, to spread more internet freedom and human values. Such service providers may take initiatives to institute appropriate international cyber laws through their country of origin (US) to enable UN and its countries to protect human rights in all the forms of cyber crime.

If Yahoo decides to leave China they not only loose one of the biggest markets of the world, but surrender to the human rights violating principles and corporate laws. But Yahoo needs to continue its operations in China according to the Chinese state laws. This is because a firm, when it operates in another country, should not be concerned with the market share that the firm gets in that country but it needs to work according to the laws in that region. Profits that the firm intends to make through its business operations in China should not be a confrontation with the censors implemented in the country with the internet technologies.

Internet censorship in the country may have a large number of rules and regulations which the state is not ready to compromise for any firms. “The way Internet TV services are offered is different in China, compared with foreign countries. Chinese Internet TV services are offered mainly by TV manufacturers under contracts with content providers, while foreign Internet TV services are provided mainly by telecom operators” (New Policies Strengthen Restrictions on Internet TV Industry, 2009, para. 10). One of the important reasons why China censors internet is due to the state’s rule of not disturbing its harmony.

The widespread use of internet has made local Chinese population more aware of the happenings in the world and has inspired them to organize many movements. Therefore, the government restricts the use of internet in the country with its licensing so that the state’s functioning is not disrupted. Licensing of internet sites like Yahoo creates a restriction on the content use of the internet.Reference ListNew Policies Strengthen Restrictions on Internet TV Industry, (2009). China Daily.
