1.1 Historical Perspective
Google Inc. was conceived in 1995 after Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at the university; Stanford University by chance as they were undertaking their Ph.D. course. It started as a research project by Page who was later joined by Brin. During the time of their inventions, Rankdex was been used to analyze the backlinks but it was not effective. They later tested their project as part of their studies and they realized that their project could function quite effectively. http://www.webmasterworld.com.forum3/2657.htm
