Analysis and Critique According to Demarco (2011), information technology is a critical pillar in advancing business operations in current competitive economic world. Critically, organizations who seek to leverage their business performance should comprehensively adopt sound technological methods in daily business transactions. These technological-enabled systems facilitate effective development of customer base through mutual networking and exchange of noble business ideals. For example, most organizations have designed definite e-mail and blog network systems through which communication with clientele is established. The clientele establishment has enhanced productivity and financial growth in most business settings, which has remained a potential element. Presence of company extranets and intranets ensure communication between company management and company customers respectively. Intranets are particularly created to enhance communication between themselves (McGovern, 2004). The human resources manager posts critical information such as meeting dates on the intranet instead of posting notices. This saves time and paper that could lead to resource misuse. McGovern (2004) fails to mention that such fraudsters find easy access to company websites that are not under proper protection. Furthermore, software used in accounting is easy to read as long as people have required training. Issues in business that previously led to enormous loses can now be effectively handled. However, if not properly watched blogs can be a company’s worst enemy. They have tendencies of allowing personal opinions crop in corporate bodies since anyone can speak their minds. Productive staffs have had to be fired because of their insensitive and negative contribution on company blogs making companies jeopardize their already established a reputation. The media can also miss-read articles written by employees on company blogs and cause discouragement to future investors. Further, it is difficult to maintain a consistent and professional blog site unless extra-ordinary measures are observed. Critical analysis of effect of blogs on business reveals that blogs have many negative implications on corporate establishments. This is because competitors have access to company secrets through blogs. Companies are forced to set aside special kitties for professional blog writers and this leads to reduction of funds from the organization. The company cannot compromise this kitty because it will imply that company engages cheap non-professionals. Lastly, much as blogs are considered a corporate necessity, they have a history of teenager pastime. Some employees over indulge in blogging resulting to waste of company resources such as time and internet connections. Liberal corporate associates can engage in blogging activities and ensure they achieve positive impacts in their organizations using blogs (Neal, 2011). It is only through proper use of information technology that written styles will provide usefulness in business organizations.
