Big Bang Theory Astrophysics s that all matter found in the universe were created about 13.82 billion years ago. There have been numerous theories that try to explain the universe origin for several decades. Most of these theories never last long and are replaced by newer theories. A lot of research is being done and data is collected and analyzed about this phenomenon. Analysis of this data has led to elimination of alternative theories that attempt to explain the universe origin. Despite the elimination of other theories, the Big Bang theory remains unaffected and is growing stronger by day.

As more research is conducted and observations made, the theory becomes more complete (Singh, 22).The Big Bang theory proposes that the universe jumped into singularity at a substantially dense point. Singularities are thought to be found at the central point of "black holes." Black holes are zones of strong gravitational pressure. The gravitational pressure is thought to be so strong that finite matter is actually squeezed into infinite density. During the time when the universe jumped into singularity, it was extremely hot and expanding rapidly.

After the early expansion, the universe cooled as much as possible to allow the formation of subatomic particles, including neutrons, electrons and protons. The progression referred to as inflation from that particular point took over, and that exponentially increased all the matter present in the universe, from a very tiny point into something the size of a basketball, in about three minutes. Singh asserts that inflation is considered to be a very significant process for the big bang, as it explained the uniformity of particles at the very beginning of the universe (16).

Although inflation period has ended a long time ago, however expansion continued and it is still occurring. The features of Big Bang theory might not be proven by using visual observations. People and scientists believe that light from the object present three million light years far away, will take approximately the same time to reach the ground. By using this way the scientists may look back into time into the history of creation of the universe. However, this method has certain limitations because at one particular time the universe had no light of its own.

Even one of the most powerful telescopes present till date does not have the ability to observe the commencing of the universe. According to Singh, the big bang was unique unlike the explosions that we see today (46). Cosmologists believe that the energy was flung by the big bang in all the earths directions at the speed of light i.e. approximately about 300 meters/sec which is about a 100 times faster than the hydrogen bomb. At that particular time the temperature of the earth was about 1000 trillion degree Celsius.

Even the centers of the hottest stars present in the universe are much cooler than this (The Big Bang Theory). In conclusion, the Big Bang theory is a relevant and significant theory for the whole human race as it provides information on how the universe began. It is created on a number of assumptions that support the advancements in research. Scientists recognize the weaknesses that the theory has but still consider it to be the most powerful theory about how the universe came into being. This theory is considered to be important because there is evidence to indicate that most of what it says about the origins of the Earth is true.

It gives an insight about how the world sprung into existence.Works CitedThe Big Bang Theory. 2013. http://www.faradayschools.com/how-science-works/science-year-10-11/the-big-bang-theory/. 14 April 2014.Singh, Simon. Big Bang: The Origin of the Universe. New York: HarperCollins, 2005
