Personal statement - Essay Example

When having to choose from an event of person that changed me and affected me deeply, I have no doubt in my choice. It is clear to me that whom I choose can only be one person: my best friend. I met her less than a year ago in work, and we immediately connected. Ours is quite a unique relationship, considering the fact that she is 15 years older than I am. Still, right from when we met, we instantly got along. Her amazing sense of humor, striking kindness and infinite empathy drew me towards her, and in a short period of time we became best friends.

She has definitely changed me in a lot of ways. First, I could tell her absolutely everything. For the first time in my life, Ive found someone with whom I could share my deepest, darkest secrets. She also did the same and revealed personal details about her family and everything else in her life. It was so good for me to be able to share everything with someone else who is not only close to me emotionally but also physically for a great portion of the day, and that I could always go to.

Second, she became a wonderful source of support for me. No matter what I told her, no matter what I was going through, she is always there to support me, show her empathy and caring, and do whatever she can to help me and encourage me in everything I do and in every decision I make. She is also great in giving me advice, consulting me on what I should no. I cant even count the times that I relied on her great advice which helped me so much. Third, with her remarkable sense of humor, she can always make me laugh.

Regardless of what Im going through or how sad or depressed I might be, she always succeeds in making me laugh and smile and be cheered up. Then and only then I can relate to my problems and think about them, of course with her assistance. Fourth, with her presence and outstanding personality around me and with me, I feel so much confident. She really drives me to believe more in myself, in my worth. She always tells me how great, funny, smart and wonderful I am, and also that she adores me.

These things certainly boost my confidence and my general feeling. Overall, we have given and provided so much for each other. I really feel a strong bond to her. I know that I can trust her completely and I know that she feels the same. Were always there for each other, supporting each other, comforting each other, and sharing everything with one another. She is there for me no matter what, and always knows exactly what I need and how I feel at that moment. she supports me, gives me advice, cheers me up when Im down, shares the bad moments with me as well as the good ones, and is just always there for me to experience everything with me.

She has truly changes my life, and for that Im extremely grateful to her.
