Urban Planning Every time, as people grow in number, cities are becoming more and more congested. Traffic volume increases uncontrollably to over-power the prediction of the traffic studies. This is a phenomenon that has so far has caused unrest and several surprises to transportation planners. Induced demand well explains this criterion (Levent 21). It is equally pertinent to understand that when a congested road is widened, it tents to receive more number of vehicles being driven on it. This is because those who were earlier on avoiding the road due to its size will start using it regularly. Here, the results will be, instead of eliminating traffic, the city will have increased traffic on the same road due to the desire of every one wishing tom use it
According to research done, it is asserted that many of metropolitan planning firms find this hard to comply with, however the smaller cities find it necessary to try. (Levent 32) The problem with small cities’ planning is that, in as much as they will get in to this system very first, the issue of concern here is the induced demand. According to research, it is evident that induced demand causes a rise in trips; however, the small cities do not account for the long time outcomes of the high way investment by the name sprawl.
The pertinent thing that people should put into consideration is to understand the phenomenon of growth management (Levent 63). Growth management is important because here, issues will both be clarified and researched after a focus of the project’s prosperity and thus development will be achieved. In as much as this is a good aspect of development, research points out that it has its challenges. Among the many available, it is noted that growth development faces things like high profile. Here, the office faces a lot of corruption and that the expected development might not be met precisely as expected (Levent 67). It is then obvious to understand that in a place where corruption is dominant, it can be hard to move a point. Thus this is one of the known barriers to development. Apart from the above, the road growth and development departments are known to be prone to office politics. In this regard, it should be noted that the over-acting of politics in the office has been known as one of the main hindrance of growth in any given department. With that, this phenomenon provides a very tough tunnel which the developers find hard to follow.
Therefore, with that in mind, it is noted that a growth development plan for any given issue will not succeeded if it is largely controlled with office politics. And this is what has so far controlled the growth of road at lengthy(Levent 41). Besides, the issues of a growing office will also find growth and development to be a hindrance to its success. This is because, according to experts, a growing office will channel a lot of its resources in stabilizing itself and therefore, it will be vey hard for it to get a chance and the power to press the underlined plans. And that is why; growth development in such an office will never be effective(Levent 78).
At most for, before a road of any construction is put in place, the concerns should ensure that a defensive privilege is adhered to. Here, at most, there is nothing that will go on successfully, and that, every time before completion of a project, there will be obstacles. The only way to overcome such an obstacle is to use defensive mechanisms up to its last bit. Some of the instances of defensive privileges can be zoning and segregation (Levent 54). In isolation, it will mean that the department concerned will try in taking on its developmental issues without much of interconnections. Since, if the lists of interconnections are wide, then decision-making in the department will be involving and time consuming. Consequently, it might not be encouraging for a plan to take several years before coming to a completion. This is the reason to why, segregation as taken as a defensive privilege (Levent 92). The truth is that if this phenomenon is taken with the seriousness it deserves, then it will be very easy for the department of growth development of mainly the road to implement its chores.
The many youths and individuals who are not employed forms a structural unemployment which affects development to some degree. It does not only affect it in a negative way but rather in a positive way also. For example, structural unemployment gives room for labor availability(Levent 97). It can be very involving if labor force is not available, and yet at the same time a project that needs such is set to be accomplished. Hence the expenses that could be used to boost the lives for people who are far, is used to circulate in the local area, hence giving the project an upper hand in ensuring that locals get the expenses that might have otherwise been used to fund other labor- force that might come from outside. This will affect both the locals, then regional as well as global, since the development will always start from the ground, before literally spreading to the entire world (Levent 101).
It is worth understanding that at most, regional planning does not address the exact need for population development. With this, it is not easy to understand the amount of planning made, and therefore if the population growth is allowed in the country, it might be very worse to note that if this occurs most problems will not be solved. And that is regional, local issues on governance as well as federal funding directed on local population will never gain ground. The best way to do this is by identifying the problem fist (Levent 105). Consequently, since the need for population development will not be addressed, then it will be more difficult to address regional planning.
The difference in the United State’s development with other countries is that, the country has largely invested in projects, as opposed to other countries. Also, the country has a universal project control firm, which deals with both the local and the national planning coordination. This is why; resources are channeled from a national wide level to the locals (Levent 109). Hence the anticipated development is achieved with minimal effort. However, other nations do not have good governance links, that can effectively liaise with the national development committee so that the local may have the mandate and be included in the national building.
The article summarizes some facts about Maddie Parlier, a product plant that is grounded almost a thousand miles on North of Carolina. Being a one story building does not limit it from the service that it is offering to the entire world. The company is well known in both distributing and making of the replacement auto parts (Levent 113). These products are known in the industry as aftermarket parts. The company is known to compete with the China’s Standard directly. The working of the firm is equally related to the China’s however they still run up in the same market how ever much is not competitive.
