The Irish community in New York is regarded among the active and most thriving population ion the multicultural city of New York. They engage in various activities that are economic oriented. They have their own Irish civic organization that are scattered throughout New York City. The organization has seen spread through from the friendly sons of St. Patrick to the New York major society. Most writers from the Irish communities stage most of the theatre companies in New York. In addition to this, their hardworking presence is also noted in their musicians. They hardly go a loss for a place to offer their performance.The Irish people are hardworking in almost every activity that they do. Not surprisingly, Irish populations living in New York have lower poverty rates compared to Americans as a whole. The households that are held by Americans of Irish descent have median incomes that are higher the Americans households. On average, Irish-American household is believed to be earning $56,363 compared to the Native American household earning $50,046. Approximately six percent of the Irish Americans are thought to have incomes at the poverty level, compared to the general Americans who have a poverty level reaching eleven percent. Over the period of 19th century, the Irish gangs had terrorized the streets of New York. The gangs were fighting for the right of existence of the Irish population in New York City. Today, the incidents of the Irish gangs are unheard of, and the gangs do no longer exist along the streets of New York.

To the extent that it houses many more functions of the Islamic community, I felt that the experienced to be gained by visiting the Center would be more valuable. The Center is committed to serving the Muslim community of Manhattan, enlightening American public opinion about Islam, providing Muslims with religious guidance, and promoting friendly relations between Muslims and non-Muslims (ICCNY).
The movie shows the time when the Irish immigrants relocate to New York City in 1846 and how those with British and Dutch ancestry who were born in the US show resentment to the new arrivals. Scorsese depicts a good picture of the city in this scene, making a realistic portrayal of New York in that era.
According to the report New York grew as a commercial centre, initially because of Alexander Hamilton’s policies and then, trade expanded with the opening of the Erie Canal leading to increase in population, wealth and power as metropolitan and cultural centre. New York City continued to grow as a concern for social change.
Its design took more than ten years to build, and the city had to use ten million dollars in building it. The reason for the building of the park was that, the Americans tried to refute the claims from European states that they did not have sense of civic duty, and gratitude towards cultural views, but instead had misplaced priorities driven by individualistic egos in expense of the public interest.
Despite the wonderful things that can be said about it, the city has been lambasted over the ages and has come under virulent criticism from travelers, journalists and the like for a number of reasons. When the charges leveled against it are subjected to a careful examination it is revealed that there are common threads linking the criticisms.
Due to the proliferation of gang and organized crimes from as early as 1920s, another wave for 1960s towards the 80s and on to the last decade of the millennium, it became imperative that laws must be updated or enacted to properly address specific crimes previously unresolved due to lack of legislations that nail down specific criminal acts.
