Since mankind relies of food to survive, the article is able to raise awareness over future concerns and the need to conserve. One of the main focuses of the article is on the worldwide food shortage of 2007. This food shortage was an eye opener for many individuals and food suppliers. The author is determined to persuade that agriculture needs to be a more popular topic of discussion before an agricultural meltdown is faced. The authors use much of the article to sum up the regulation of livestock and its effects on developing countries. This article written by one author is very informative and shows how the economy has shifted into producing natural resources. The demand of natural resources is a focus of interest for the author. The article appears to be well written. The use of headings throughout the article makes reading and searching for ideas easier to read and understand. This was helpful because the article is larger in length. The author properly cites sources used and the facts are credible. The article focuses on the use of natural resources and the rise in prices over time due to demand. Nicholls, W. H. (1960). RESEARCH ON AGRICULTURE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. American Economic Review, 50(2), 629-635. This article is an older article that is helpful and different in the sense that it provides findings taken from performing research. Research is well organized and easy to understand. The author focuses on problems as related to underdeveloped countries and problems associated with under developed regions. There are no uses of graphs which would have allowed for better understanding of comparisons and findings. Since the size of the article is so large, it is apparent that the author had a well throughout analysis of research related to the analysis of agriculture and economic development.
