The Future of Home Landscape Introduction A land design is a promising venture as home landscapes are turning into exhibitions, tourist centers, museums, and wildlife conservation zones. Designers have taken home landscape design to a whole new level with the latest models and new architectural innovations. The exterior space is used for sports, gym, relaxation, and romantic expeditions. Prospective home landscapes will integrate construction of storey-roomed floors that will economize on space, minimize wastage of building materials, and create a more sophisticated outlook of the home. Landscape architects such as Thomas Church are remembered for their influence in home landscape designs that remain admirable features to date. Most contemporary land designers have adopted classy home outlooks with emphasis on the exterior outlook of the houses that are made to appear more unique, natural, and attractive. The incorporation of modern elements such as outdoor benches can be useful as meeting places during hot weather; additionally, swimming pools provide exquisite refreshment zones. Formal and ornamental splashes are used to decorate the house and serve human purposes where individuals experience the feeling of change while in the building. The Lurie Garden is an example of exquisite outdoor elements of home landscapes. Despite the modernization of home landscape, the infrastructure faces major challenges regarding the sustainability of their originality in case the indigenous designer is no longer present to oversee maintenance. Most of the previously exquisite features currently appear to be extinct due to negligence. Front Yard Design In the U.S., landscape architecture is an inherently ephemeral art form that is adapted for the exhibition. Home landscape designs in modern cities are utilizing the vast amount of waste to turn trash into treasures through recycling and reusing the wastes for exterior decorations. The outdoor space is given more attention by designers. It is manicured into front lawns, stone paver pathway, and intricate garden designs. A good homes architecture and design are one that incorporates the right plants, flowers, and shrubs that enhance the appearance by adding color, texture, and fragrance to the yard. The outside topography can incorporate a pool as part of the remodeling to help create a stunning landscape. The surrounding can be made sophisticated by incorporating a fireplace in the front yard (Houzz.com 1). Prospective landscaping architects are aiming to incorporate more beautiful gardens to remodel the exterior appearance of the houses and reduce wastage of space. In the front yard, the appeal to the viewer will be given more attention to creating a great first impression. The architecture is aimed to be inspiring, well thought out and consistent with the homes style. The integration of a flower garden will be the best option for those who are keen on maintenance. For those who have maintenance issues, low maintenance succulents, hedges, or bushes can be incorporated in the front yard. Most of the architects opt for grass and a gravel pathway, wooden fence, water point or stone wall to create variation. Landscape designers understand that water is essential to the survival of any ecosystem. Therefore, aside from refreshment purposes, a waterfront can be installed in the front yard to protect the home against waves and provide an exquisite view of the surrounding. Some homeowners that build their homes near water points like rivers prefer the inclusion of garden oysters whereby the architects add more creativity by building shells into breakwater points to strengthen the burgeoning ecosystem. Through revitalization, the species communities become safer with time. The oysters help to control the flow of water. The shoreline provides a great view of the flowing water. Backyard Design The backyard incorporates the garden and in most cases, space is utilized for entertainment, playtime accessories, sitting, dining areas, play spaces, and relaxation spots. A garden planted with vegetables for domestic use or roses is a common yard staple. In most cases, the yard is included when the owner is interested in pergola raised bed, border, arbor, walkway, or fence. Other accessories such as birdbaths and feeders can be added to aid bird watching. A party house is an ultimate fantasy for most homeowners who love indoor partying and architects will, therefore, need to incorporate a pool and patio or a deck with a fire pit, a barbecue, outdoor fireplace, or outdoor kitchen. For sports lovers who engage in the home practice, the home architecture should include a basketball court, bocce ball, volleyball court, or croquet. Outdoor furniture plays a very important role in home landscaping for sunny relaxation. A bench in the garden is a good spot for reading and meditation. For comfort reasons, weatherproof chaise lounge, chair, and sofa are nice for relaxing during sunny weather (Houzz.com 1). Some landscapes such as the Perth property designed by Landscape Constructions are well designed so that the homeowners can enjoy comfortable surrounding all year round (Universalmagazines.com 1). They are easy to clean with contemporary design. The house complements the contemporary architecture of the home with inviting outdoor spaces that can be utilized both during the day and night. The rear and front gardens have neat lines, definite features, and uncluttered and uncomplicated looks. The landscape architects incorporate many features that stand out. For instance; the outdoor kitchen is situated near the deck in a neat contemporary style with multifunctional cooking areas including a barbecue grill and pizza oven. Herbs and food ingredients are grown in the outdoor garden to provide fresh ingredients. Another home landscape with edible ingredients is the Fritz Haegs Edible Estate located in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. The sophistication of home landscapes not only incorporates classy interior decors but also, a garden that provides readily available foodstuff to economize on the cost of food. Challenges to Bright Future of Home Architecture A land is becoming a scarce resource due to the high rate of population growth, increased food insecurity, amplified pollution, and waste that is caused by traditional ways of constructing. Architecture 2030 projects that building and construction materials will account for 5.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to construction materials, trucks and cranes that transport and install materials at construction sites produce great amounts of greenhouse gas emissions. Gardeners are at the frontline to defend problems concerning global warming, water shortages, loss of habitat, and shrinking biodiversity. They expect building architects to support their initiative by designing the home exterior in such a way that the spaces left outside the house can be well utilized for gardening activities. The design of modern buildings needs to make the exterior visually appealing and also leave spaces for natural biodiversity. Humans are not the sole designers of landscape due to the natural effects of volcanoes that spew lava and remake land, and the rain falls carve valleys. The mountains, gardens, and valleys are shaped by rain and volcanoes, plants, animals, human hands and minds. The trees provide shade to the ground and shed leaves to provide a more hospitable environment for life with analogous needs. People mold the landscape using hands, tools, and machines during building. The home landscape can be very destructive to the agricultural landscape because crude and primitive farming exploit the natural habitat causing erosion and dust bowls. The annual Landslide report issued by The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) shows that landscape and landscape features are at risk and calls for attention to design landscapes and promote stewardship. Landscape advocates such as Dan Kiley are remembered for their legacy in design that left historic landmarks in the United States. However, many unique and irreplaceable landscapes are left to extinct quietly due to neglect and loss of memory about design intent and maintenance. The caretakers are reluctant to maintain the landscapes that are projected to be historical features in the coming years. Lack of transparency in the leadership of some home landscapes has increased prospective uncertainty (Birnbaum 3). Some memorial parks in the USA are facing the threat of extinction because of poor maintenance and lack of emphasis on the designers extant work. Some irreplaceable landscapes such as the Pershing Park that neighbors Washington D.C are left to die quiet deaths because of the alteration of the core landscape elements. For instance, the pool has been drained, moveable tables have been replaced with concrete seating, and the sidewalks and other hardscape elements have been degraded. One can sense that the park has been neglected judging from the dissimilarity between the original architecture and the current outlook. Conclusion The bright future of home landscapes can be guaranteed through building parks out of waste, designing neighborhoods for people and wildlife, engaging in design for active living and engaging in agriculture to create the edible city. From industrial wastelands, community parks can be established, and urban forests are planted to enhance cleaner and cooler air. Most of the homes will be designed to complement the outlook of the estates that they are situated. Estates that have more sophisticated outlooks will influence the architects to design better-looking home landscapes. The availability of space or lack thereof will not limit the designers ability to design houses with more sophisticated outlook. The communities can be revitalized with parks and the landscapes leveraged to conserve water. Effort should be put into the design and maintenance of architecture that are the primary elements of home landscapes.
