The best idea that one can learn from the building grits in the children is growth mindset that comes with a belief that ability of someone to learn is not fixed and that it can change with the amount of effort that is put. When children read and learn about the brain and how it changes and even grow in response to any challenge then they are most likely to persevere when they encounter failure because they will live to believe that failure is not a permanent condition.
