The Value of Art Art is a very valuable part of life as it brings beauty to our environment and provides instances for rational and emotional reflection. However the few people who do not appreciate it view it as unnecessary and perky. Art has been very important in New York City having given the city its impressive nature. Art is usually taken as the key illustration of something with essential value rather than just instrumental. The permanent collections found in the museums are all created for the public good and they are all representation of art which depict different ideas. There has been great movement in the history of art and this has seen New York grow to what it is today in the world of entertainment and tourist attraction. However, the commercialization of art has been a big challenge although it has made it possible for us to realize the value of art according to Fenner (15). Music, acting, literature, architecture, sculptures and museums are all forms of art which express a lot about life hence proving the importance and value of art in our daily life. To those who have the talent in art, it is a highly valuable activity which can earn them a living. It helps them to grow in their thinking and exposes them to many opportunities. Art is the heart of entertainment and thus anyone who values entertainment values art. How Living in New York City Has Improved, Augmented, Enriched My Life Having lived in New York I can recommend that the beauty in it is as a result of art. New York is a city which highly values art and this brings the attractiveness of the city to everyone even those does not love art. Various forms of art ranging from music, museums, acting, literature and architecture among others, they are found in New York. The value of art has really improved my life since I entered New York. For instance, the lots of entertainment available have made life less stressful as it eases all the depression from work or family issues. Going to movies and shows which are always accessible in New York makes life more interesting. Nevertheless walking along the streets of New York everything appears very interesting due to the lots of paintings, designs, sculptures and architect works which always attract your attention. According to Guilbaut (56), it is evident that the internal wellness of the individual is very important than the external and being in New York fully satisfies the internal wellness of anyone interested in the works of art. The attractive architect of New York with well designed houses also makes one feel comfortable living there. Generally living in New York has given me a new perspective in life. For instance, with many interesting things which always capture my attention, life has been more interesting to me. Additionally, given the many shows, theaters and many places full of interesting works of art to visit have been able to meet new people who have left a positive impact in my life. Similarly, with many opportunities available in the world of entertainment, have been inspired to become good artist and build my career as an actor. Watching other people perform as musicians or as architects has really motivated me to think differently about my achievements in life The Impact Art Has On My Community/Neighborhood/Family Living in New York has significantly affected my life in the neighborhood. There is an incredibly large difference between life in New York City and life in the neighborhood. For instance, the improved access to entertainment in the city is very rare in the neighborhood community. However, in the neighborhood art is perceived in a more traditional manner as opposed to the city. The interesting designs and other works of art found in New York city are unusual in the neighborhood as stated by Schiuma (79). As a result, I found myself spending in the New York most of the time and only occasionally in the neighborhood. This is because the difference in the environment based on artistic sorroundings makes life in the neighborhood much dreary. Moreover, given the many people in the city due to its attractiveness it has affected the way I interact with my family and to an extent one can feel the distance between me an the family in the neighborhood. With the interesting nature of art, it provides a beautiful background to enhance ones talent and skills. It gives one the opportunity to realize the beauty of nature and improve their daily living. How Art Has Changed Perception of Myself, Environment, And Others The augmented artistic nature of New York which ranges from music, architecture, literature, museums and sculptures has had a considerable change on how I perceive myself, others and the environment. For instance, I never liked art not until I came to New York simply because I on no account had the occasion to experience it. Living in a city where art is adorable has really changed my perception of art. Since I came to NY have become addictive to movie nights and shows and through these have been able to realize myself. This helped me a lot in developing my career in which have participated several movies. Through this I realized how social and canning I can be something I never thought about myself. The interesting view of the architecture, sculptures and several visits to the museums have also helped me realize how creative other people are. Living in NY has made me realize how people value art and how it has helped them to develop their lives. In addition, the various works of art in the city has also changed my perception towards the environment. For example, the attractiveness of the environment we live in depends on how we value art. The outward show of the environment we live in depends on our creativity and passion in art. Living in New York has helped me to learn that the environment presents us with many opportunities to develop ourselves. How Art has Inspired, Comforted and Transformed My Life The arts in New York have greatly inspired me and expanded my thinking about life. I have realized that as persons we have the ability to make our lives less stressful and full of fun by exploiting our artistic abilities. Have also comprehended that art is something which can change your life and perceptive towards it and can build your image in the society. Many people have become world celebrities due to art especially through music which is a major form of entertainment. It gives one the comfort and consolation during suffering as it gives you an alternative source of excitement and joy. For instance, one can listen to music or visit the museum when they feel depressed and this will help in relieving themselves. The various arts in New York have transformed me in radical ways. For instance, visiting the museum every weekend relieves me from life stress. I have developed much interest in the world of entertainment, have also become a movie actor and more important art has become a major source of my comfort in life free from stress and hardships of life. It also breaks the boredom from the monotony of daily activities. How Art Has Challenged My Beliefs Art can be very challenging in ones beliefs especially when one never believed in it according to Hamilton (136). Since I started living in New York I have experienced a lot from art and this has significantly challenged my beliefs. For instance, I never had the thought that art can build ones life and one can depend on it for a living. However, here in New York people have dedicated their life to acting, doing music, literature and managing museums which has greatly improved their living standards. Musicians have also taken music as the lifetime career and they are surviving very well in it here in New York something which is uncommon in the neighborhood. Living in NY has made me realize something within myself, which is, acting that I had never believed I can do. This has changed my thinking has changed since art needs a creative and critical thinking. At first this was my big challenge but the more my interest grew in art the more I realized my creativity. Art requires a lot of observation and imagination and this is a major challenge to someone who does not belief in it as stated by Scott (123). Developing interest in the works of art requires one to develop a deep understanding of the environment be able to comprehend things happening in daily life and this was a vey challenging part of my life. Meeting new people who have made it in life as artist changed my perception of art and I was able to have a positive attitude towards arts which previously seemed a difficult adventure.
