From perspective and educational point of view, renaissance in other terms means rebirth and specifically the word makes as admit that there were revival of interests during the ancient Greek and Roman culture, characterizing what happened during this period. More so, renaissance human activities believed in the essence of their knowledge for their own sake and that the renaissance period was characterized by the aspect of philosophy which encouraged Christianity, liberal arts, rhetoric, poetry, history, politics all happening during pre-Christian world teaching norms.
Scholars believe that renaissance period started in Italy due to economic chaos hence city-states engaged into extensive trade and banking system had developed. Competition essence was at high verge considering aspects like wealthy, fiercely competitive, and independent that forced the city-states in Italy to vie from each other hence engaging the finest artists in merchandizing activities with hopes of getting fortunes. The 17th and 18th century is considered as the main agenda of most powerful ruling history well known as “The Age of Kings” and also known as “The age of colonial settlement.
” Frederick the Great of Prussia, Maria Theresa of Austria, Peter the Great and Catherine the Great of Russia, and a succession of grand kings named Louis in France, to name but a few. However, Baroque art as administered through the age of colonial settlement differs from that of renaissance in various important respects. As the renaissance period administered calm of reason and articulations, Baroque art was characterized by the emotional, energy and movement norms. The history of renaissance period consists of information based on the contrast between vivid colors, classic simplicity and light as well as dark characters, where as baroque is favored with ornamentation and dynamic theatrical work (Getlein 12-15).
Concept captured Renaissance period captures and articulates the work of diverse artists as far as cultural diverseness is of concern. Borrowing the resources from the two chapters, we come to realize that renaissance was anticipated differently based on the cultural norms and periodic time as from where it took place. Concept behind renaissance period shows that Baroque art was characterized by the emotional, energy and movement norms. Personal statement Following the history of renaissance and borrowing the articulations administered by baroque artistically period, I concur with the aspect that renaissance was approached differently as far as geographical, cultural activities and behaviors as well as religion were concerned. Chapter 21 and 22 summary This chapter analyses the Modern World and its artists as well as writers that happened between 1800 and 1945. French revolution, the American Revolution and industrial revolution has changed due to the prevailing technological processes and characterized by the essence of rapid change.
