Just like any other career, computer systems analyst professionals are tasked with ensuring full functionality, coordination and ensuring business development projects within his department. Despite being a requirement to familiarize themselves with programming languages, operating systems, and computer hardware platforms, it is essential for computer systems analysts to normalize themselves with actual hardware development.

This directly and positively impacts their daily routines as they are able to deal and manage different software application from different backgrounds. To further acquaint themselves with the changing technological trends and technical specifications, computer systems analysts are mostly in touch with various vendors and information technology gurus who enable update them regularly. Most of these personnel have specialized in specific systems including business systems, financial systems and accounting systems (Zuse, 129).

Computer systems analysts are therefore, a key figure in any corporation or organization that embraces information technology in both ways. The purpose of this paper therefore is to discuss how government, politics, and public policy affect computer systems analysts as a long-term goal. Discussion In the modern world today all organizations rely on information technology in ensuring that their systems run effectively and smoothly. Computer Systems analysts have been tasked and put at the centre of this information technological advancements and systems as organizations and corporations ensure that only skilled manpower is used.

Through this factor, companies have been able to showcase their ability in terms of hardware and software development to achieve their objectives and goals. Developing software and extending technology is an ongoing process that needs to meet maximum benefits within the organization despite the varying constant changes, which are always evolving. Due to this, computer systems analysts have challenged to defining an organizations IT needs, be able to determine detailed specifications for these needs, be in place to establishing suitable programming equipments and tools.

They are also supposed to ensure equitable management of the creation of code and procedures as well as ensuring all programs meet specified organizational needs and immediate feedback is relayed back. Lastly, they are required to troubleshooting problems arising from their programs and systems and add desired features and programs, which can benefit the organization positively. Most computer systems analysts have been incorporated into large companies and corporations. This begs the reason why most of them earn higher salaries and live in bigger cities across the globe.

Their pay is directly based no experience and former occupation. Using statistics from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, computer systems analysts earned a mean annual wage of $81,250, with most of them who are rated and categorized in the top 10 percentages earning more than $119,000 per year. Most of the computer systems analysts have been rated and awarded prestigious awards across the globe owing to their ability to create software with multiple roles. High pay is directly related to the autonomy and challenges the career offers.

This therefore, means that despite such professional earning more, there work is hectic and tedious when rated and analyzed effectively (Daniel, 13). Recruitment and employment of all computer systems analysts is consistently growing as more organizations and corporations are embracing information technology. This has directly made computer systems analysts the most growing career in all fields. The rapid growth being witnessed can also be attributed to the high levels of technological expansion and advancement in small medium enterprises across different environments.

The increasing acceptance and understanding of emerging applications is effectively increasing opportunities for computer systems analysts to integrate to the new and existing systems. The increased and perceived interest in information systems security is also boosting job creation for the computer systems analysts. An example of such industries is health care industrys increasing use of information technology. Computer systems analysts can therefore find advancement opportunities by being employed as professional and commercial equipment and supplies merchant wholesalers, computer systems design and related services, data processing, hosting and related services, management of companies and enterprises and insurance carriers (Nappper, 12).

The training requirements and development for computer systems analysts has varied depending on the technological advancements already in the market, the employer, the systems analysts position in the company and personal skills and abilities. The most preferred generally is a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution. Individuals interested in becoming computer systems analysts can also benefit by being certified by The Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) a certificate that can help computer systems analysts be able to advance by showing variant skills in key Microsoft technologies as well as be able to provide a strong foundation for consequent certification from the vendor.

Individual can also be certified by the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) certificate which shows the various abilities to design and develop emerging enterprise solutions by only using Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 and 1.1, and Microsoft development tools and technologies, in relation to the vendor information and specification. This is an added advantage as it sharpens display skills both in maintenance and development of applications. By being certified by the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certificate, one is increasingly able to value systems and manage their security.

Lastly certification from CompTIA Network+ and PMIs Project Management Professional (PMP) will be profitable as it shows the professional’s ability to initiate, develop and present a project essential in developing solutions and integrating technologies (Copeland, 23). The major groups which have promoted the interests of computer systems analysts include the Association of Business Process Management Professionals International, Association for Computing Machinery, American Management Association and International Association of Software Architects, groups which have for a long time fought for the promotion and encouragement and development of business process management concepts and practices.

By encouraging equitable practices and systems’, organizations and its employees will be forced to directly use the embraced software’s. This in one way or the other will increase efficiency and honesty in all organizations and corporations. Computer systems analysts have with time been tasked with the monitoring of electronic voting systems which is a political issue relating to the people’s choice. Using their vast experience and knowledge on computer systems and applications, they have been recruited as system supervisor to oversee any anomaly in the voting applications and systems used.

They have also been used as the maintenance of tax returns systems, which are used to account for all the nations’ budget. Tax is a key component of every political background as it acts as the background of implementing political manifestos (Shelly, 102). Computer system Analysts play major roles in the business, financial, forensic and accounting sectors. They may also need to combine their degree with another to diversify their fields like the roles given below In the forensic scene the forensic Computer Analysts helps in investigating the computer-based crime for examples catching the hackers, online scams and fraud done within the internet they are more of cyber security personnel (Shelly, 105).

The skills you need as much the same as a computer based analysis but they mostly focus on things such as data retrieval, tracking devices for example stolen mobile phones, following the electronic transactions within a given organization. This line of work is helpful mostly to people like police or keeping tabs in an organization (Daniel, 15). Also they play a role in the business sector by designing software’s that will help in auditing and accounting of their financial in both inland and offshore account via banks or electronically within the given organization.

By using their software in keeping tabs on the money helps keep in the loop of any illegal or legal activities going on in the firm. Still they help in innovations and design technology that will or is being used to take the world through the digital migration but in this role they deal more with the scientific part thus referred to as computer and information research analysts , they help in studying and solving complexities in different sectors of business ,medicine etc Lastly they also provide help in the development, planning and coordination within given software thus being called the system analyst who role is mostly about programming the software to benefit the client or organization but they really need to be acquainted with the market research of the given company (Copeland, 25).

Conclusion An analysis and understanding on how computer systems analysts work, their earning, job opportunities and importance of their job specification has provided a clear understanding on the unlimited capabilities that such careers offer.
