What is the correlation between the factors in purchasing soap and the education level of the person making the purchase? Introductions In this paper, we are interested with the relationship between the factors in purchasing soap and the education level of the person making the purchase. In this study, the correlation between the factors in purchasing soap and the education level of person making the purchase will be evaluated. The factors that are involved in this study are; the level of education, and the factors impacting on the purchase. Literature review According to Rotter, 1966 the factors in purchasing soaps and the level of education of the person making the purchase. But according to the factors impacting purchase are: the cost, the brand, the label, availability and ingredients. The level of education are; high school, associate degree, undergraduate degree, graduate degree and dnr. Burger and Cooper 2012, develop an urge for control factor impacting the purchase of the soaps, and the level of education of the persons that are purchasing the soaps. According to Burger and cooper 2012, many people agree that the factors that cause the purchase of the soaps are the cost, the brand of the soap, the label on the soaps, availability and ingredient of the soaps. It also believed that, education and other factors might influence the purchasing of the soaps among the people in the society (Wood and Clapham, 2005). Different people differ on how they view the causation. Some group appears to draw conclusion based on the events they observe or connect between cosot and other factors. Methodology In this study, a survey was conducted to determine what the correlation between the factor impacting the purchase of the soaps, and the level of education. The data was obtained from a survey at a public fair. My area of interest was, what factors play a role in how people chose to buy soap. The surveys were collected at the end of the day and a spread sheet was made of all the survey questions. In the survey, they complete several classic illusions of control tasks. We try to answer if some people are prone to an illusion of control than others based on their personal beliefs. Chi square Chi-Square Goodness-of-Fit Test for Observed Counts in Variable: Soap Ingredien Using category names in Hygiene product lotion (1=yes, Test Contribution Category Observed Proportion Expected to Chi-Sq 1 66 0.333333 54 2.6667 2 9 0.333333 54 37.5000 0 87 0.333333 54 20.1667 N DF Chi-Sq P-Value 162 2 60.3333 0.000 From the chi- square analysis, it can be observed that the value of chi-square is 60.333 with a p- value of 0.000 which is significantly less than 0.05 level of confidence. This means that there is sufficient evidence to conclude that the hygiene of the soap is influencing the purchase of the soap Hypothesis Null hypothesis: there is no significant relationship between factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps. The alternative hypothesis: there is significant relationship between factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps. Data analysis In this study, the relationship between the factor impacting the purchase and the education level will be examined through a regression analysis, and the correlation analysis between the two variables. The dependent variable is the factor impacting the purchase of soaps while the independent variable is the level of education of the persons purchasing the soaps. Results of analysis Regression Analysis: factors impacting purchase versus education level The regression equation is factors impacting purchase = 1.70 + 0.114 education level 89 cases used, 2 cases contain missing values Predictor Coef SE Coef T P Constant 1.7032 0.2663 6.40 0.000 education level 0.1142 0.1002 1.14 0.257 S = 1.25420 R-Sq = 1.5% R-Sq(adj) = 0.3% From the regression analysis, it can be observed that the t- value of the education level is 1.14 with a p- value of 0.257 which is greater than 0.05 level of confidence. this implies that there is no significant difference in the relationship between the factor impacting the purchase of the soaps and the education level of the soaps. This means that the independent variable education level cannot be used to predict the factors impacting the purchase of soaps. The value of coefficient of determination is 0.015 which is 1.5% of all the errors in the model. Analysis of Variance Source DF SS MS F P Regression 1 2.046 2.046 1.30 0.257 Residual Error 87 136.853 1.573 Total 88 138.899 The results of analysis of variance indicate that the F- value is equal to 1.3 with the p- value of 0.257 which is greater than 0.05 level of confidence. This implies that there is no significant relationship between factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps. This implies that the regression analysis cannot exist between the dependent variable between factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the independent variable level of education of the persons buying the soaps. The Correlations analysis: education level, factors impacting purchase The Pearson correlation of education level and factors impacting purchase = 0.121 with a P-Value = 0.257 which is greater than 0.05 level of confidence. This implies that the null hypothesis that there is no correlation between the factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps is true. Conclusion From the analysis, it can be observed that there is no significant relationship between the factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps. This implies that the variable factors impact the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps cannot be used to obtain the regression relationship. We also observe that there is correlation between the factors impacting the purchase of the soaps and the level of education of the persons buying the soaps. Reference.
