Life expectancy is the highest amount of years a person has to be alive presently considering their current age. Crude Death Rate is not used because it does not represent the years left for one to be alive but instead, they represent the expected year when one will die. This information I used to make an estimate of the year one will die and thus the expected remaining years one has to be alive. Life expectancy is preferred because it uses statistics to indicate the number of years one is anticipated to live.
Life expectancy values can also be integrated into the population to examine and estimate life-years. This gives us more reliable and accurate weighted average. Q5 If we want to find out the overall difference between top five countries with the highest GNI PPP per capita and the bottom five countries with the lowest values, can we simply take an average of the five values of GNI PPP per capita within each group and compare the two means? We can use of average of data ensures that all the figures in the group are represented and therefore it is a reliable representation of the data.
Population-weighted means can also be used to find out the overall difference between these two groups as they present a presentation of all the countries’ life expectancy in relation to their population. Q9 If we want to find out the overall difference between these two groups, can we simply take an average the five values of life expectancy within each group and compare the two means? Why or why not? Yes, use of average of data ensures that all the figures in the group are represented and therefore it is a reliable representation of the data.
Population-weighted means can also be used to find out the overall difference between these two groups as they present a presentation of all the countries’ life expectancy in relation to their population. What kind of general trend does it show? Some dots seem to be
