As the motivated prisoners in the category of prisoners who have no primary education and the non-motivated prisoners who have substantial education are very less, they are not taken into consideration. Consequently, that can be mentioned as a limitation of this study. Researchers found that that level of motivation is different in different prisons depending on the conditions in the prison and the attitudes of the instructors. Hence, the researchers considered the attitudes of instructors and the conditions in prison as a factor that affects the motivation and carried on analysis in that direction.
The motivation of prisoners to study without incentives lies in the fact and hope that they can rehabilitate themselves without much effort after the completion of sentence. The chances of employment they get after their release will motivate them to study in the prison without reasonable incentives. The education and training programs that have more interventions to inspire them to study are necessary, as it is difficult to anybody to motivate himself or herself in a prison. The initial motivation to start studying depends on the information and counselling the staff and supervisors give them to make them ready to study. After that, the satisfaction and responsibilities the prisoners get and experiences they get from their supervisors decide the course of study and continuation of it. The link between unemployment and crime gives enough reason for the authorities provide opportunities regarding education and training for prisoners. One of the principles that can motivate the prisoners to study is that the study and work in prison being similar to outside world. In addition to that, the provision of employment for prisoners after their release gives that crucial inspiration to prisoners to study. Consequently, to convince prisoners to study without incentives, they authorities have to make the education atmosphere inside prison similar to outside and assuring them that the employability of prisoners is no less than the ordinary people after their release. In addition to make them confident that they will get livelihood after their release, the studies of the prisoners in prison should help them to serve their sentences. As the outside world and mode of working changes fast, the reforms in education and training needs quick response to that change, should make prisoners aware of the changes, and must be in a condition to prepare them for the change.
