George Yip had stated that an organization attempting to employ a global strategy has to do so in three phases. The first phase comprises the development stage of the organization’s core strategy, which forms the foundation of the development of the competitive advantage of the organization in the global context. The second phase comprises of the global expansion of the business and the revision of the global core strategy that had been formed in the first phase. The third phase in the implementation of the global strategy of an organization, as discussed by Yip, is the stage where the core strategy is incorporated across the various nations.

To be précis, the first stage of global strategy execution consists of the consideration of aspects such as the product and the service category the organization provides a category of clients the organization caters to imperative sources of competitive benefit and investment strategy among others. The second stage involves the choice of geographic market in which to participate and revise the products and services accordingly. The final stage of global strategy execution requires the organization to identify the segments of strategy to be globalized on the basis of the globalization drivers.

Subsequently, the organization has to integrate the business activities across the markets it had chosen to compete in. The appropriate adoption and execution of a global strategy can benefit an organization in terms of reduced expenditures, enhanced quality, focused consumer preference and competitive among others. The other aspect of global management of the business is the transnational strategy. These strategies are global in quality and include an international constitution in addition to an elevated extent of co-ordination.

Nevertheless, the transnational strategies permit the organization to maintain local responsiveness.
