It shall illustrate various examples of indigenous religious sites around the globe, and how visits to these sites have been beneficial to the visitors, and to the indigenous people.The Uluru (Ayer’s Rock) at the Kata Tjuta National Park in Central Australia is sacred to the aboriginal tribes of Australia. The aborigines believe that the Uluru holds a “record of the Dreamtime activities of the Ancestors – actually, all the land is such a record, Uluru is simply amongst the most spectacular” (Mendham, “Places”).

They believe that the grooves at the sides of the mountain are tracks left by the Ancestors. Other features of the mountain are considered religious and sacred spirits.
