Yes the argument of the author has been appropriate in supporting animal rights. Assignment 39 1. All animals are creations of life and their importance in the universe is same as a human being. It is our ignorance makes us think that only our life is vital or living beings we love have value on earth. Every creature has life and even plants have essence of life. One should respect the life on earth and we as human have connection with every living being on earth. 2. It is essentially wrong to use animals for experiments as we are killing living beings. The experiments are done for human benefits mostly and using animals for this purpose is cruel. Animals can feel pain and giving pain is unethical. Hence this practice needs to be stopped. Assignment 40 The Cohen’s argument cannot be agreed upon as animals have rights as they have life. The animals should not be exploited for human needs. They feel pain and if they have life they got the right to live. Rights is not an asset of human only the creator has given right to live, eat, defend to all creatures. Assignment 41 Warren is wrong in arguing that the life of animals is less important than human beings. We are thinking from our perceptive but for animals their life is as important as our life is precious for us. Animals has the right to live if not why do they exist on earth? We can only understand the nature and environment if we value their relationship with us. The protection of indigenous people and aboriginal people are the aim of these principles. It is about protection of people and nature and hence I endorse it with maximum support. If every one of us takes matters into our hands then the world would be a better place to live in future. Assignment 51 – Case Study Beyond Beef Background Beef eating being an unhealthy diet plan and against the ecological preservation it should be avoided by human, Beef eating has been a reason for pollution, water depletion and global warming. Beef eating can lead to high cholesterol and obesity. The farms raising cattle can emit more methane which leads to global warming. So beef eating is against the promotion of a greener world. Statement of Problem The beef eating tradition has given way to mushrooming of many fast food chains. The most popular fast food chain Mc donnas need to be alerted about the drawbacks of beef eating and needs to persuade to promote vegetarian burgers to the customers. They are to be prompted to stay away from Bovine growth hormone tainted dairy products and meat products. However the McDonalds argue that they do have an option of vegetarian burgers, fish and chicken on menu but they customers prefer beef burgers. Analysis From this case study, it can be understood that the McDonalds is not taking right steps to avoid beef eating among customers. If they cut beef form their menu then the customers has no choice b to follow poultry or fish centered burgers. Possible Solution The McDonald can at least be asked to be more organic with their beef selling. They can assure that the farms are encouraged by them to raise cattle in more eco –friendly manner. It is not sensible to assume that Mc Donald’s would refrain from beef burger selling so the best solution is to sell organic beef burgers and raise cattle in a more eco –friendly manner. Implementation The McDonald authorities need to conduct a meeting with ecological experts and other scientific experts and learn how to improve the farming technique in an eco – friendly way. The cattle should rise without any chemicals and rose in the most natural manner. Conclusion Beef eating is a bad practice but it is not possible to entirely stop this phenomenon. So the best practical thing is to minimize this practice by social awareness and education. Beef need to be raised more organically and people need to eat less beef and opt for more poultry, fish and vegetarian food products. All the cattle farmers need to practice more eco –friendly measures in their activity. Read More
