THE GAINT I am a very strong, powerful and huge creature; my ancestry can be traced millions of years back. Creatures like me live throughout the world in different continents. We can be referred to as kings of are domain. Describing myself a little, well I’m not some average 8 years old creature with 1000 pounds of weight and towering 10 feet standing on my hind legs and shoulders with massive muscles made like steal. A little secret; I don’t work out! My body is naturally built. Now that you have a general idea that I’m quite a giant, let me tell you were I live.

I live in the Yellowstone National Park, with all my brothers and sisters. We enjoy life free from the danger of our species being extinct. Before I was moved to the Yellowstone Park, I used to live in the Western part of Canada with my mom and dad. We were very happy living in that great forest with many wild animals as neighbors running around wild and free like my ancestors did many years ago. There was nothing to worry about till one day, when a stranger and his friends with shining, black objects called guns that would make such loud noises when they would point them at the wild animals, appeared in the forest.

I was very confused and scared to see them hurt my friends. I ran all the way home from the river where I was practicing how to fish, with a great urge to ask my father about these strangers. My father replied, “they’re humans. They come here to hunt the wild life. Just stay as far away as you can from them and you’ll be fine.” With everything my father had to explain to me, I was still curious to find out more about these so called humans. On my way back to the river to continue my fishing, I suddenly heard the loud noise once again; so I stopped to climb a tree, still startled on my way to the top of the tree reaching high enough to see what was going on.

One of the humans spotted me and pointed his shining gun at me. I was so scared that I fell down the tree and started to run away making my way to the river. With the human running after me as I made it to the river, the water current seemed too strong for me to cross. As I turned around to see where the human was, I heard the loud noise again, and my father appeared in front of me out of the blue. He soon fell down on his back. He told me that he felt very sleepy and advised me to run away. I couldn’t leave my father, so I stayed till the second loud noise banged.

I can’t remember what happened at the river till my father woke me up. He told me what had happened and said that I needed not be scared anymore as everything would be fine. “We have a new home now. The old one is long gone and we need to start all over,” my father said to me. Here at this Park, they have provided us with a wide variety of foods to choose from; since we are mostly omnivorous we can eat just about anything including berries, grass, pretty flowers and wild vegetables etc.

We also eat bug, rodents and large animals. It just depends on are appetite on a particular day. So come visit my home Yellowstone Park, and bring all your family along to see the Giant Grizzly Bears.
