Personal ment: the Journey has Just Begin Right from the day I formally became cognizant of the academic aspect of my life, I had a deep seated passion for two things that are building on my special talent for codified logic and to use my abilities and skills to serve the community that had given so much to me. My curiosity for computers and software programming commensurately increased as I became more engaged in this aspect of knowledge. I had an immense enthusiasm for studying and knowing more about computer and computer technology.
During my four years at college, besides being sincerely involved with the regular curriculum, I also remained engaged in the development of software projects and the usage of CASE tools. There was always an intensely felt yearning within me to know more, to learn more and to expand my horizons as far as possible in the discipline I had chosen as my career. Strongly nudged by such ambitious aspirations I actively engaged in extracurricular activities that facilitated diverse insights into my field of study.
While at college I competed in the Microsoft Imagine Cup’09 worldwide competition held in Egypt. I pursued my internship at Cairo Microsoft Innovation Centre (CMIC). There I served as a research assistant in multimedia area and I am convinced that it was a great learning experience, both as an intern and as a caring human being. Currently I am employed and am working on autonomous systems development projects, specifically Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV). My research interests include autonomous systems, multi-agents, artificial intelligence and image processing.
My consistency and evenness in the choices I made regarding my academic pursuits and the affiliated activities speak a lot about the sincerity and firmness of my career goals. So a desire to pursue Master Studies in Computer Science in Canada is a plausible and natural extension of my career planning. I harbor a strong conviction that individual talent simply cannot fructify and flourish without active social engagement and a dedication to work for social welfare and good. Such sentiments always remained a vital source of inspiration throughout my academic and professional career.
During my college days I took active interest in the pursuits and aspirations of my class fellows and juniors and remained the student body president for one year. While at college I also aspired to expand my network and to actively engage my knowledge and expertise in helping my community. I worked in a community project named ‘Together to Heaven’ that targeted young children in elementary schools. The purpose of this project was to make children actively engage in performing social good, and to teach them the right ways to make a heaven on earth.
At the heart of my academic and career pursuits is the desire to learn by sharing knowledge with others and to contribute to the community by helping it solve problems. When it comes to my personal qualities and strengths, I believe I am a very hard working, highly motivated, determined, caring and dedicated individual. I have a natural instinct to seek knowledge and to widen the scope of my learning and skills. Being able to help others through my knowledge and skills is something that makes me truly happy and fulfilled.
In that context I believe that every successive day is an opportunity to learn something new and to make this world a better place through the right application of knowledge.
