It is a crime against humanity and yet it happens all over the world on a regular basis. Human trafficking is a global issue in accordance with the UNDOC report; anyone can be a victim of human trafficking irrespective of age, care, culture, political affiliation, religion, occupation and gender. As it turns out, women are the majority of the victims as well as the culprits (Akaha 12). It is confusing to imagine that former victims are also victims of the same irrespective of the pain they underwent during the trafficking process; they emulate their exploiters and get influenced due to the huge amounts of money in return after a successful human traffic. Human trafficking is organized crime hence should be dealt with through criminals to get to the base of things (Kara 67). The major challenges faced in the war against human trafficking includes: raising awareness, gathering information, and international cooperation. I propose a way to raise more awareness because the gravity of this international situation needs to be communicated widespread (McKanders 2). Raising awareness Human trafficking is a global issue that calls for a globally acknowledged strategy of creating awareness on the issue; different countries are faced with different problematic situations that would likely favor human trafficking (McKanders 4). People are faced with challenges because the targeted group perceives that not all offers to work overseas are fraudulent, moreover, through beach parties and vocational leaves, traffickers engage young adults of both sexes with infatuation just to enable them win their instinct (Brysk 54). Efforts to counsel such individuals on the dangers of being in love with strangers of unknown backgrounds are often thwarted by rebellion and departure to settle in other areas with the partners away from the counselors who are later termed as enemies (Akaha 15). Gathering information There are scanty information about human trafficking since people fear that conveying mush information on the same would create suspicion on the kind of work that such individual are involved in for their daily survival. I believe it is very important to acquire accurate information on the issue to achieve the aforementioned plan (McKanders 3). However, much information possible is needed because of whom we are up against; human traffickers are never asleep, each time they derive anthologies in favor their quest to attain clients for their ready lucrative markets. Highly sophisticated international criminals are doing the exploiting (Kara 68). International cooperation Human traffickers are operating within the global scope, although individuals struggle to curb the vice a lot more effort is required in order to completely stop the inhumane practices. Corruption at the various airports and immigration offices within the global community are among factors that derail efforts of the few to achieve commendable progress (Zaharia 172). Had there been accurate information stored within respective immigration offices regarding traffickers and the victims, efforts to trace their whereabouts would not have been difficult (Kara 69). The target audience In most cases, human traffickers opt for the energetic group that is able to work for long hours since most of the victims of human trafficking are obtained in order to provide workforce to the companies assigned. The only group which is not targeted by human traffickers is the elderly since they would increase the number while performing on the lower rate (Akaha 16). Other than the energetic group, traffickers derive pleasure in having teenage and middle age women. The women are to be employed to perform duties like babysitting, washing and other house chores for long hours. Others sexually exploiting them since there main function is to serve the purpose and reason as to why they were trafficked (McKanders 6). Professional groups are not exceptional since some of the high valued trafficking victims who are supposed to be hired for high profits are the professionals. In most cases, such victims often find their way out through engagement with organizations that connects job seekers internationally (Meier 69). Since the remunerations at the offices are interesting, the heavy salary packages offered on papers are to entice the pray that the job seeker strived to accomplish their quest for jobs within the global job market. Surprisingly, on landing to the perceived country everything changes drastically. The registration process and the accompanied rules that individuals have to adhere to are obvious signs indicating that the perceived goodies would not come by (Meier 44). Children also fall victims of human trafficking since most of them perceive that boarding any means of transport is meant for pleasure; the goodies and enticing goods and services offered creates a bond with the traffickers who in most cases have ready markets from disparate families without children. Imagining of selling children for cash; both the child trafficker and the childless families benefit at the expense of disgusted families wailing the loss of their beloved ones (Zaharia 174). The beautiful girls and handsome young men are mostly lowered through infatuation and love for money to stick to boyfriends and girlfriend both from the same country and foreign (Ditmore 5). However, since the traffickers are object and target oriented meaning that their main aim is to win a victim especially through convincing treats that seams true provided that you accept to follow their interests. To some extent they would offer to pay for all travel expenses since they operate from overseas (Kara 68). Surprisingly, such girls and boys end up absorbed in the ill motive groups which are not limited to sex slavery, homosexual slavery and exploitation through forceful performance in pornographic movies depending on categories like armature and hard core sex movies which; such movies ends up in lucrative markets at extremely high prices (Akaha 17). Analysis of the power structures The government should ensure that economic potentials within their countries are utilized appropriately to create an economic base that enables everybody to determine their potential areas and work towards economic development. With a strong economy nobody would be hustling in search of other alternatives in live hence avoiding bumping on the wrong hands (Zaharia 173). Since the lucrative market that awaits the traffickers is constantly increasing at an increasing rate, traffickers become more sensitive to information that would create a wider market (Kara 70). Men should be sensitized on the impacts of purchasing sex, commercial sex should be discouraged, forced labor too can be abolished through strictly adhering to the labor laws; the international labor organization should act appropriately to keep vigil on the law breakers so that the traffickers may not have market on the same (McKanders 8). The potential strengths The potential strengths that would be utilized to enhance abolition of such inhumane acts includes; utilization of print and telecast media to sensitize the public of the presence of malicious groups that take advantage of the available opportunities to traffic innocent individuals within different ages (Kara 71). However, constitutionally it is a crime to traffic a human being; the migratory information for every individual should be displayed and embedded electronically on every document that the agencies dealing with immigration require. This would provide enough time for the perceived victim to affirm the accuracy and reliability of the companies involved in the global job search (Akaha 18). Available resources Information technology Technological advancement in communication enhances quick information transfer hence both the travel agencies and the government are able to compare the detailed information between the trafficker and the culprits. Televised media are also important since they are able to avail any information that would assist an individual to trace back the course of information (Akaha 15). The parents, friends and relatives of the victims are able to voice their grievances to the respective government and concerned public on the whereabouts of their son/ daughter; a process that transfers the information to a wider audience of the same interest. The possibility of utilizing communication systems like radio waves used by both radio and mobile to communicate and convey messages in both local and official languages are strengths that can be made use of so that the traffickers may not be able to how what would happen next (Berton 70). Traffickers involved in other businesses like drug trafficking embark to human; however to some extent human trafficking becomes more complex and saddening for instance killing and package drugs within the corpse for exportation to countries where the slave originated from to achieve the main aim of transporting drugs to respective and lucrative markets (McKanders 10). Forceful means of combating human trafficking are not appropriate as the victims may suffer more resistance strategies; it is adept to determine the main causes of human trafficking so that appropriate non violent methods would be involved to avert the malady (Akaha 20). Weaknesses The poor educational background is ranked among the factors that lead to slavery and child labor; many people involved in human trafficking are often disparate and willing to take on job opportunities available. However, in order to avert the trend, avert country should stipulate laws that force everybody to attend classes up to a level that would guarantee them of getting employment. Implementation of such laws would enlighten many people hence lowering the chance of being easily convinced to look for greener pasture elsewhere (Akaha 16). The principle of price elasticity works similar to labor, when the citizens are well educated they would not opt for cheap labor; this implies that they would not be enticed by overseas jobs since their market valued shall have risen to levels that guarantee better job opportunities within their own countries (Zaharia 176). The global labor laws should be intensify the prosecution and increase penalties on offenders, however, awareness campaign should also be intensified so that everybody would be able to have an idea about human trafficking and related consequences to both the victim and the country. Enhanced through proactive intervention and investigation on issues related to slavery, drug and human trafficking (Kara 68). The possible way of alleviating the risk should be based on industrial set up; every industry should strategize on ways of completely reducing human labor for instance implementing robotic control systems so that nobody would be required apart from machine operators who must have acquired exemplary educational certificates. This would reduce chances of recruiting labor from other countries (Akaha 22). However, every country should restrict a given class of individuals not to travel out of their own countries since some citizens hibernate and utilize such opportunities to secretly fly to other countries unaware of the risks that waits on arrival to the destined country (McKanders 12). Community- based efforts to educate and enlighten every member of the community on all kinds of trafficking offenses and the corresponding anti trafficking policies. However, the involvement of anti trafficking policy force trained to perform accurate investigation on human forensics so that they would not be challenged in any way in the quest to curb human trafficking within the global community (Akaha 25). Opportunities Cases that involve traffickers should be solved in specific courts meant only form trafficking cases; both the judicial and police responsible for handling information within the specific courts should be well vast with investigative processes on issues related to human trafficking so that they may not be challenged by the criminals (Kara 73). When found guilty, such offenders should be imprisoned for life without any form of bailout so that they would not share the inhumane business idea to other disparate citizens ready to take on any lucrative business idea in order to make both ends meet (Mendelson 178). When all avenues are tightened criminals would opt for other opportunities with better terms so that they would immensely gain from before their tricks are detected since they are skilled in utilizing any opportunity that would drive income (McKanders 14). Threats Efforts to forcefully avert human trafficking have failed especially in the US and other overseas countries where laws against human trafficking are severe (Akaha 21). Traffickers often find themselves in the same act terming the stipulated laws as worthless since the amount of income derived from human trafficking are unbelievably hefty. The factors that influence human trafficking should be addressed before mobilizing other of nonviolent means of averting the act (Zaharia 181). Among factors that should be handled with utmost concern are poverty, impartiality and ethnocentricity, gender biasness, militaristic conflicts, lawlessness and environmental disasters among others would be avoided and controlled where necessary so that the traffickers do not take advantage of such circumstances to major on the opportunities that would not benefit the victims (Akaha 24). CONCLUSION In the community, not only the culprits should be educated on the risk factors of inhumane act of human trafficking, but community members should be aware so that the message would be passed on to new generations to come. Governments should team up and set tribunals to deal with both culprits and victims alike in accordance within their actions; educational standards should be set to a compulsory level that enables every citizen to secure employment opportunity within their own countries so that chances of disparately seeking international jobs would be a gone case in order to lower rates of being circumstantial victims.
