The paper "The Impact of Stress in the Working Environment of Nursing Home Staff" is an excellent example of a research paper on nursing. This topic was chosen because there was a gap in the present literature to indicate the true extent of the impact of stress in the working environment on nursing home staff. This research paper will investigate the impact of stress on physical health, psychological effect, and behavioral effect. This qualitative study was conducted at a nursing home staff, by using the in-depth interview after getting approval from the nursing home.

The study population consisted of eight nurses from one nursing home. Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews with eight nurses. Participants had at least two years of experience and no self-reported history of mental illness. By visiting the nursing home and explaining the research objectives, the eight nurses who met the inclusion criteria were invited to take part in the in-depth interview. The exclusion criteria used, included being discontent, having less than four years of experience, a history of mental illness.

The main method of data collection was in-depth open semi-structured interviews. The interviews were carried out in a period of one-five days; they were transcribed word by word and were used as the primary research data. The analysis of the data was performed by content analysis in this method fundamental processes such as thematizing began after repeated reading of transcribed data. Then the unit of analysis of the sentences, paragraphs or word, which had special meanings and the answers to the questions was identified to establish the coding frame.

In the sampling stage, the interviewer had extracted the representative units of data and placed them within the sampling framework. The in-depth interview questions were based on the effect of stress among the interviewed nurses on their physical health. Their psychological wellbeing was assessed to determine what impact did stress on the nurses' work environment. And their behaviors were analyzed in regard to how stress affected them. By analyzing and adjusting the sampling, the data reduction occurred and categories of data were developed.
