Speech Outline – Tribute To Beatles At The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Specific Purpose: To inform and entertain the spectators by idolization of the world’s most popular rock band called Beatles and to detail their importance to the music industry.
Central Idea: Beatles has impacted the music genre of rock music by reintroducing rock music, dominating the music charts and experimenting different musical tools in rock music.
Introduction: The Beatles started their journey of rock music during the period of 1960 when they developed their band in the region of Liverpool and since that they have governed the hearts of Rock music followers.
Preview: I am here to pay tribute to the legendary band Beatles and their enormous contributions to the music genre of Rock.
I. The Beatles are the one who should be credited for the introduction of Rock music to the society.
a. There was a lack of Rock bands in the American charts.
b. They introduced a completely new lineup for Rock bands (Gulla 113).
c. Encouraged other bands to start working.
Transition: After discussing Beatles contribution for introducing rock music, I will focus on their domination of music charts.
II. They single handedly popularized Rock music by placing themselves on significant music charts.
a. They first made it to the American top 40 charts during 1964.
b. The dominated the first 5 sports of Billboard’s musical chart (Billboard 1).
c. All of their albums have remained on various musical charts.
Transition: After discussing their domination of music charts, I would turn my focus on their experimentation of different tools in Rock Music.
III. They introduced various musical instruments to the genre of Rock music that are even used today.
a. They were the first well known band to implement three types of guitars along with drums at the same time.
b. They introduced violins, woodwinds in Rock music.
c. They even introduced Sitar to rock music (Ford 154).
Summary: We now are well informed regarding the contributions made by the Beatles to the music genre of Rock.
Conclusion: Beatles have governed and rules our hearts and minds for more than 40 years and they have contributed majorly to the industry of Rock music by reintroducing rock music, by experimenting new musical tools in rock music and by popularizing rock music.
