The business environment has evolved over the last few decades. There are hundreds of different products for each market need. There are many reasons to this rapid increase in alternatives of products. The concepts of outsourcing have greatly increased the number of competitors. Just a few decades ago it was not very easy to start selling technology intensive products. This was because business could not make heavy investments in research and development. Moreover the cost of selling up manufacturing plants was too high. Outsourcing however has made it very easy for smaller investors to compete in the market. Outsourcing hubs like china can manufacture products at low cost and companies only have to invest in packaging and marketing of these products. Even distribution for products is outsourced.
The challenge of selecting an effected target market for the products still remains a challenge. The quality of the products is even irrelevant if the right target market is not selected. The first step in this process is dividing the market into different segments. These segments can be divided on the basis of age, gender, location or income group. In this case however age or genders are irrelevant as the product being sold is air conditioner. The market would therefore be divided on the basis of location and income groups. The location factor is important from a distribution point of view. Only areas where Sear’s stores are available can be relevant market segments. The second basis of segmentation will be on the basis of income groups. There are three generic consumer of air conditioning. The consumer in the very high income group

Malcolm, Jones. History of Air Conditioning. bucknell.edu< http://www.facstaff.bucknell.edu/mvigeant/therm_1/ac_final/bg.htm This source proves importance for the research as it gives the beginning of air conditioning idea. An American physician, Dr. John Gorrie first attempted the building of an air conditioner.
The common human senses have varying degree of perceiving stimuli of the diverse nature. The frequency at which any individual stimulus is perceived by a human sense varies regarding the sense and stimulus. Throughout the installation arts, the prompts attributed to by perceptions from sensations decide the urgency of the body response.
Ivan Pavlov’s experiments with dogs utilized a ringing bell as the neutral stimulus, meat as an unconditioned stimulus along with salivation of the dog as the unconditioned response (Feldman). The unconditioned stimulus (meat) tends to produce the unconditioned response (salivation of the dog) which is the natural reaction to the provided stimulus.
If a neutral stimulus is paired to an unconditioned stimulus to solicit an unconditioned response, it is possible to condition the neutral stimulus to produce the same response without the unconditioned stimulus being present. Pavlov utilized meat in order to induce salivation in the dogs he was experimenting with.
Classical conditioning was first described by a Russian physiologist Ivan Pavlov and operant conditioning was first described by an American psychologist B. F. Skinner (Cherry, 2013). Although both processes promote learning in an individual, they are inherently different from each other.
This piece of work touches the basics of the technology behind air conditioners, history and fact based perception of the development of air conditioners. The article starts with the development of the actual idea of air conditioning rather than the air conditioning itself. It tells about the first attempt on building an air conditioner by John Gorrie.
Should universities start using smart air conditioners, the units could be programmed to operate just when need be as noted by Karol (2014). Therefore, instead of generating energy to power the air conditioning units

This method of learning was later popularized by B.F. Skinner who worked on reproducing Konorski’s experiments by terming it as ‘respondent behavior. Classical conditioning also gets referred to as respondent or Pavlovian conditioning. As a philosophy of
