Planning A Vacation Our family vacation began with a three hour wait at the airport that had resulted in thechildren screaming like banshees, my wife threatening to leave me, and me swearing that this was the last time I ever went anywhere with them. After seven more days of excruciating, nerve splitting, agony I was never so happy to be back home. I had begun to believe the words of Karl Hakkarainen when he said, "No vacation goes unpunished". That was 10 years ago and since that time I've learned that you must meticulously plan your vacation. It can seem like an insurmountable task to account for every detail of the trip, but it can be rewarding. Although nobody has enough time to plan for a vacation; it could be easy if you follow these simple steps.
When you first begin planning your vacation get a folder and keep all your vacation plans in one place. This folder will have all the brochures from the sites you plan to visit. It will have information on airline flights and hotels. Make reservations and keep a detailed account in this folder of everyone you talk to. Get information from local restaurants and make a list of the ones you want to visit. With all the information in one place, you can then make a daily itinerary of your planned events. By looking through the folder at your leisure, ideas will bubble forth and in no time you will have a full schedule for your vacation plans.
With the schedule in hand, it's time to pack. Pack a carry-on that is small enough to stay with you at all times. Include the necessary items that you must have in the event that you get separated from your other luggage for a day. If you need to take medication, be sure this is with you at all times and not in the checked baggage. Be sure to pack for the climate and the outings you have planned. Let the children pack their own bag with their own special take-alongs. This may include CDs, games, or magazines. Make sure that it is small enough to carry on the plane. Planning makes packing a breeze.
The most important part of the plan is you. Be flexible. Be sure to plan for and pack the right attitude. If you've done your planning to this point, it's time to let go and have some fun. There are no more worries about what you forgot. If your goal is to spend time with your family and create a lasting memory together, then plan for that and keep your attitude focused. If your goal is to see the sights or attractions and shows, then plan ahead and make the reservations necessary. It's your vacation and if you've packed the right attitude you have planned for success.
A vacation can be a memory that will last a lifetime, or it can be an experience that you just want to forget. The difference could all be in the planning. By starting early and collecting all your vacation plans in one place, you can focus on every detail of your trip. Careful packing can keep you from experiencing unintended disasters and it also keeps the kids occupied. However, the most important plan you can make is the plan to have fun. These simple tasks are not time consuming. By implementing these steps to plan for your vacation, they will not only divert disaster; they will also save you time.

A National Minimum Vacation

... A National Minimum Vacation Question The tenth paragraph provides a causal chain on the effectiveness of the ‘four weeks paid vacation’ to improving the productivity of individual workers for increased happiness. There are however other outright links within the chain as identified by Reich’s argument where critics would reason that the four week vacations would be more costly in jobs. The causative argument here is that while people are out on vacations, they are less involved in productive activities and thus this implies overall productivity would be lowered. Nevertheless, Reich fails to acknowledge the relevance of the argument and in defense establishes a causative chain where he reasons that vacations are instrumental... in...
