Subject Concern: Engineering Introduction Ethics is something that needs to be considered all the time no matter what particular field of practice is concerned. In engineering, although some may think that the said occupation is all technical, also involves the need to apply ethics within the process of every project completion that the said professionals are aiming to finish. Problem Statement How are ethics supposed to be applied in the field of engineering Could there be some cases when ethics could be withdrawn in the face of completing engineering tasks at work Hypothesis If engineers would apply ethics at work, they would be able to gain better patronage from the market. If the engineering society give biases on cases where they are supposed to apply ethics, there are great chances for engineers to lose the trust of the society. Expectations It has been expected by the researchers of this study to see if there really is an importance on the application of ethics on the part of engineers who are working in and out of the field when dealing with their clients as well as with their business partners, Consideration of situations is the main focus of the idealism that the researchers of this particular study want to see. Engineering as a matter of a business process may at times be subjected to different situations. Are there situations when ethics could be withdrawn This is what remains to be seen. Methodology Qualitative Approach: The researchers of this study tried to create a notion on how ethics and why ethics should be applied in engineering through a survey and interview report which was later on collected and computed as to how they relate to the problem being solved by the team of researchers handling this study. Quantitative Approach: the number of respondents to the process is the main focus of researchers in this study. Besides researching in the different literature that pertain to the subject matter being treated, the team of researchers in this study decided to handle matters through actual measure of understanding the engineers who have been under situations when the need for ethical withdrawal arises. Overall Evaluation of the Studies Reviewed To sum up the results of the study observation handled, the paragraphs that follow shall note the major issues that had been clarified in viewing engineering firms as business entities that are subjected to submitting to ethical responsibilities to their clients. Ethics and business rules always go together. The fact that business policing is based upon the different measures of complete recognition of social norms and social limitations, ethics is indeed a large part of the ways by which business organizations try to strive to be able to become more effective within their operational engagements with regards their aim of being able to influence the society as well. To be able to have a clearer view of the matter being reported herein, it is first most importantly to be given attention to as to how management is indeed in relation with the actual application of ethical standards within the society. The Essence of Organizational Management Organizational management involves several serious tasks that concern not only the whole company but also its stakeholders. This is the reason why the need for the fine application of ethical leadership is essential for the pursuance of rightful managerial policing processes. Management, as known to many is a performed function in every organizational set up that is essential for arranging the activities of certain business groups. Today, as management of businesses deal with multicultural differences of the people making up the company, it could be noticed that the challenges in dealing with organizational matters becomes harder to deal with, hence, requiring more skillful attitudes and acts towards the responsibility of organizational management (Cragg, The Shopping Mall Challenge). Certainly, the following organizational issues are the major responsibilities that the leaders must address in their daily activities: - High Profile organizational Failures This concerns the issue that is concerned with the failure of the company, which in some way becomes controversial and in a way destroys the company's reputation in the business industry. Leaders of the organization should see to it that a certain measure of damage control should immediately be taken into consideration to be able to answer to the doubts raised against the company through the existence of the said issue. - Higher expectations on the part of the public sectors and regulators Since the business organizations are mostly aiming for globalization, the public then as well as with the regulators within the society have higher expectations form the organizational governance. Since the aim for progress is high, the effort to be placed forward should also account for the goals that are to be reached. - Increasing litigation and concerns about legal liability Because of being multinational, the business organizations today are subjected to more complex and more systematic legalities that give them their capabilities and limitations in operating with their business on certain countries around the world. - More takeovers, mergers, acquisitions Since the organizations are expected to become larger, the issue concerning the takeovers and merging of the organizations with other business companies, it easy to conclude that the responsibility of the governing department of any business organization subjects the leaders to resort to different resolutions to be able to deal with the said business transactions with other. Conclusion These major concerns of the modern management system are indeed based upon the growing need of the organizations today. Since the business companies are considerably large, it undeniable that the responsibilities are also equally large for the governing committee of any business organization. Certainly, such serious responsibility involves the application of high-leveled skills for supporting an organization's growth. Through application of the enlisted managerial concerns above, the success of creating policies that would not only provide the company with the profit that they aim to have, but to also provide their people and the society as well with the support that they need in terms of organizational provisions. Concerning the fact that business organizations today go for larger scale or scope of market, it could be noticed that the managerial applications and concerns as mentioned above are to become more complex in terms of actual realization of the tasks. There are different issues that are sure to overtake the field of business management, especially concerning ethics and the social acceptance of the company. Every community has a measurement of applicable values that serves as a basis of the norms in the said community. These set of values-measurement is called ethics. Ethics then stands for the ideal way of treating or dealing with others in the society. Hence, in engineering, ethics is considered to be an utmost concern no matter what the situation may be.
