The paper "The Problem of Entrepreneurial Self in Creativity Industry of UK" is an engrossing example of coursework on management. In the early days with the advent of the Industrial Revolution, the workers who were ready to utilize their labor-power were considered self-employed (Athayde, 2009). With the industrialization in the economy of the UK and other countries, there was a general control over a large number of workers in order to coordinate the business activities (Fillis and Rentschler, 2010). As per the study, the relationship between business owners and workers in modern days was exactly the same which had prevailed in the ancient days. Based on the data, it was evident that the rate of self-employment in the UK started from 11% in 2000 and 13% in 2009 (Fillis and Rentschler, 2010). Men in the UK are considered to be more self-employed as compared to women in the UK. There is a difference between self-employed people and those who are working as employees.

The self-employed youth are considered to be working for themselves or can be considered as the owners of the business. On the other hand, there are people who are recruited by the business owners and they are considered as employees of the organization (Fillis and Rentschler, 2010). Entrepreneurship is considered an essential drive that leads to economic development and the workers within the nation are responsible for earning economic profit in the global market. The data suggest that total employment in the second quarter of 2014 was 1.1 million higher as compared to the economic situation in the first quarter (Comunian, Taylor, and Smith, 2014). Self-employment is important in the UK labor market and around 15% of the workforce is self-employed. Much of the rise in the level of self-employment is in 2008, which reflects long-term trends as a result of the global financial crisis (Hitt et al., 2011). There are technological as well as industrial changes. Self-employment among female workers is found to rise in recent years as a result of the women empowerment programs held by the organizations. Moreover, the aging workforce has a strong influence on the rise in the level of self-employment as the workers prefer to carry out various tasks even after their retirement.
