The paper "Buyer-Supplier Relationships" is an excellent example of a dissertation on management. This study focuses on finding out how trust, communication, and cooperation improve buyer-supplier relationships. The approach used in the achievement of the aims of the study is a quantitative survey that is cross-sectional.

A sample of size 11 out of a population of the size of 1599 companies in the Singapore Republic was used in the study. The companies used in the study were picked from various industries using the stratification sampling technique.  Data collection was through self-administered questionnaires to ensure anonymity and validness of responses. The replies to the questions relied on a 5-pointer liker scale. In the analysis, SPSS and MS Excel computer package soft wares were used. Using the packages, the correlation analysis was used in making the cross-tabulation as well as establishing the strength of the relationship amongst the various variables.

The results obtained after the data collection and analysis indicated that trust, communication, and cooperation affect the buyer-supplier relationships positively. The three variables, that is, trust, communication, and cooperation are essential in the continuity of the relationships. Therefore, for success in any business, whether buyer or supplier, the focus should be put on trust, co-operation, and communication. The three elements will increase the competitive power of a business.

Chapter 1
1.0 Introduction

The buyer-supplier relationships are a key contributor to performance and quality practices in logistics and supply chain management (Monczka et al., 2015). In the recent past, strategically managing buyer-supplier relationships has been observed to be the main driver of sustainable competitiveness in business. This has led to the creation of business networks, which have replaced the traditional hierarchical capitalism (Li et al., 2010). The buyer-supplier relations are a solution to the problems facing foreign firms in the competitiveness, innovations, resource constraints, and the rising risks and costs (Corsten, Gruen, and Peyinghaus, 2011).
