Reflect Works Prepared by Date Executive Summary This report reflects my experience and learnings that I acquired during my class lectures. I also developed a career draft and research on my future aspirations. My report focuses mainly on skills, experience and learning that I may require after the completion of my MBA. My report mainly divided into introduction, literature review, research methodology, discussion of results and conclusion. Introduction of my report will narrate my experience, literature review will tell about the work and studies of my future career that is entrepreneurship and in the section of methodology, I chose qualitative method to carry out my research and ultimately I will discuss my results finding and draw conclusion. Introduction It was a great opportunity to learn new concepts and skills during my intensive. I have learned many useful concepts like working in a team, self-awareness and critical thinking, design thinking, project management, career and employability, negotiation skills, and business communication. These topics not only gave me deep insight of the factors and skills that can influence my future career and progress but also helped me in learning new business handling skills. I also realized if I manage to learn these concepts they can prove very productive in my future career that is entrepreneurship. I always have an ambition to become an entrepreneur that is the reason I chose business as my major. If I talk about entrepreneurship it is a challenging job and to become a successful entrepreneur I should have extraordinary insights and skills of business because only capable entrepreneur can infuse value by receiving or bundling the necessary skills and resources[Rob84]. Context and learnings I learned lots of new things. Even topics were not new but their perspectives were new to me. Like in working in lectures of business team I came to know about the attributes of high performing and different leadership styles. In leadership styles I learned about entrepreneurial leadership style which let me become further aware about the concept of entrepreneurship and I came to know new dimensions of my future career. Moreover, if I want to become a successful entrepreneur I should know how to make best possible decision. It is a challenging job that needs critical thinking[Ale]. In addition, with the help of critical thinking, design thinking and self-evaluation lecture, I gained new skills of calculating risk and evaluating performance that can help me in my future endeavor as entrepreneur. Furthermore I have also learned project management and business communications skills and these two skills are considered as a foundation of entrepreneur career. Project management helped me in learning scheduling, budgeting and analyzing subject matter of the project.in my entrepreneurial career it will help me in analyzing problems on various stages and it will also give me new ideas on how to push the project towards its final milestone. Moreover, success of entrepreneur is determined by the abilities of communication if someone is good in communication he can be more competent and confident. For this purpose business communication lectures had great importance for my career. I learned different communication like effective verbal skills, on-verbal skills, appropriate body gestures, managing emotions and stress during work, and attentive listening. These effective communication skills have also developed negotiation skills in me and with the help of clear understanding of negotiation process and effective negotiation skills I have learned how to set difference and conflicts in a group. Furthermore my teacher also gave an intensive lecture on career and employability issue. From that lecture I came to know about the future employability skills that I should have to become a successful entrepreneur. Furthermore, during my lectures I also realized that I am lacking in different skills like hesitation in communicating effectively, lack of intuitive thinking and fail to predict risk and if I want to pursue my career in entrepreneurship I have to address these gaps and also learn additional skills. Research question The research question of my report is what are those learning, skills, and experience that I may need post-MBA to fulfil your career aspirations? For this purpose I conducted a research just to collect information on my future career.my research is based on entrepreneurship career.my research also elaborate the skills, learning, and experience that I should acquire to become a successful entrepreneur. This research will also helpful in understanding about my future career aspirations and demands of that career. Problem context and literature Career of entrepreneur is not less than an adventure. As an entrepreneur I should know how to make decisions in highly uncertain environment where stakes are high, pressure is immense and environment is uncertain. I will have to think differently and need to learn entrepreneurial mindset. This entrepreneurial mindset involves the ability to rapidly sense, act and mobilize even under uncertain condition[Ire03]. Entrepreneurial mindset can make sense of opportunities in the context of changing goals. It can also help me in developing dominant logic and strategies to tackle challenging environment. Moreover, I am also expecting to learn the skill of cognitive adoptability because only cognitive adaptability describes the extent to which an entrepreneur is dynamic, flexible, and self-regulating. Cognitive adaptability is a reflection of entrepreneur’s Meta cognition awareness that is, the ability to reflect upon, understand, and control ones thinking and learning[GSc94]. Similarly, the other important skills that I may require to start my career as an entrepreneur are creative thinking, effective communication risk evaluation, and leadership quality. Creative thinking is one of the important attribute of a successful entrepreneur it includes multidimensional thinks like innovative orientation, problem focusing, contrary thinking, intuition, deferred judgments and ideation and analogical thinking[WEd14]. Moreover, I also need to learn effective communications skills like verbal and nonverbal communication because communications skills. The survival of entrepreneur is totally based on his communication skills because entrepreneur always have to make contacts with their partners and clear understanding and confidence in communication is highly required, this perspective is mainly depend on the communication skills of the entrepreneur[Eul11] . Likewise, learning entrepreneurial leadership style is also needed. Only entrepreneurial leader is able to take risks, innovate, to be focused on the task, he assumes this as a personal responsibility to pursue economic orientation[DrG87]. Methodology and approach, and research limitations The methodology that I have chosen to conduct this research is qualitative research methodology. I have collected data from secondary sources because of time constraint. I have short of time and I have to finish my research in limited time period. So, I found qualitative research methodology suitable for my research because quantitative research methodology is time consuming and expensive. Discussion and data analysis In this discussion, I found the deep understanding and insight of my future career. This research has given me clear understanding of entrepreneurship and the skills that I need to acquire to become a successful entrepreneur. According to my findings the most important skills of my future career are innovative entrepreneur thinking, cognitive adaptability, creative thinking, effective communication, and entrepreneurial leadership style .These skills can help me in achieving success and progress in my career after my MBA. Moreover my findings also describes that entrepreneur career is different than non-entrepreneur. He should be more innovative and creative, he has to know how to make right decision on right tie. Accurate Risk evaluation and prediction of risk are also prominent qualities of capable entrepreneur. Hence, if I want to become a successful entrepreneur I should be more future oriented and critical thinker than others. Implications (benefits and limitations) This research report have many advantages and limitations as well. Some advantages are; This research helped me in understand my future aspiration It is useful in determining the skills that I may require in future This research also helped me in identify my gaps It gave me a new perspective of my future career It will help me in acquiring additional skills for my career Some limitations are: This is my subjective experience Qualitative research is limited and reflect only few perspectives Conclusions Hence, this report gives detailed view of my future career. Undoubtedly, I have learned lots of new thing during my lecture that can help me in my future career in many ways. But to become a successful entrepreneur I should have creative thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, innovative ideas, effective communication skills and many more skills. My research and career draft plan mainly focus on ascertaining highly required skills for my entrepreneurial career. And with the help of literature review and findings I can easily deduce all the required skills, experience, and learning that are needed to make progress in entrepreneurial career. Recommendations for further research I can use quantitative research method for my further researches. With the help of Surveys, questionnaires, focused interviews in quantitative research I can make my research findings more accurate and unbiased. I can also use statistical data for future researches to generate my finding more in objective form.
