The paper "Employment in Australia and Women’s Importance in Businesses " is an outstanding example of a management research proposal. This research proposal lays emphasis on the matter of the challenges that women face in employment in Australia and women’s importance in businesses if they are allowed equal opportunities to their men counterparts. As a matter of fact, giving women equal opportunities to men is not only important in business decision-making but also relevant and invaluable to both organisational and governmental directives. In fact, within the context of Australia, in almost all the paid workforce sectors, women turn to be under embodied within the positions of leadership (Australian Human Rights Commission 2015). Terrifyingly, Australian women turn to possess extra employment opportunities and more importantly, they turn to have more education nowadays in comparison to the past, however, the achievement of gender equality at workplaces’ senior echelons has not yet been made.

For instance, women are outnumbered by men in positions of senior leadership across the private and public sectors, together with the lower and upper federal parliament houses as can be seen in Appendices A and B (Australian Bureau of Statistics 2013). This research proposal explores the women’s number in senior positions, various obstacles that might be preventing them from attaining those top positions, and contemporary initiatives being implemented to augment the women’s number within leadership positions together with getting people to consider beyond the current state-of-affairs and commence cultural alteration in the places of work. First, on the number of women within senior positions, there is the absence of the huge push forward (Ernst & Young 2011). In this scenario, regardless of additional women within superior leadership positions, an advancement over the previous ten years turns to be sluggish.

Though in 2011-2012 women embodied almost half of the workforce in total (46%), and 45% of experts, women still remain under embodied at top echelons in both the public and private sectors.
