It is evidently clear from the discussion that one of the major components of organizational behavior in workplace motivation. In the contemporary scenario, where the competition amid companies has become quite intense, it has become important for business units to ensure that they perform better in comparison to their major rivals in order to sustain in the market. Likewise, they are apparently aware of the relevancy and linkage amid employee productivity and dedication with that of organizational performance.

Contextually, the management practices various approaches where they force employees to work more effectively with utmost dedication towards achieving the organizational goals and hence, ignites the requirement of intense motivation. However, forcing to accomplish the continually rising work pressure might be presented in the form of a negative motivation in the workplace. Motivation is a factor that encourages employees to be more dedicated towards their work and the organization overall. Employees are motivated both positively and negatively.

While positive motivation techniques incorporate paying fair remuneration, incentives for their good work and also promotions in many cases, negative means of motivation include pay cuts, demotions, and employee termination among others. However, in both the situations, employees are under pressure to perform efficiently with the aim to attain the goals of the organization. This condition of the workplace might yield negative results raising serious issues hindering the sustainability of the organization, which also includes employee suicide in the workplace.

However, it will be ambiguous to depict work pressure as the only cause of employee suicides in the workplace.
