The competition’s aims are centered on the United Nation’s Millennium Development Goals and their enhancement through the use of appropriate technology. Product Characteristics / Requirements 1.

Templates and Tools: The game will have to be developed from scratch for the Xbox, Windows or Windows phone platforms. Silverlight has been delineated as the preferred creation tool. Appropriate templates will have to be developed from the available tools such as SDKs to create the game from the ground up. 2. User Submissions: Submissions can be timed for two competitions that are the fall and the spring competitions. Moreover submission can be done for both competitions if desired. 3. Storyboard: A story board is required for the first round of the competition which will make the development team eligible for automatic participation in the second round. 4. Playable Game: The second round would require a playable game with at least one level available for playing.

This would be considered as a base requirement for qualification of the third round so at least this level of development is mandatory by the prescribed time. 5. Instructions: Instructions for play are mandatory as per competition rules so these will be developed. 6. Video: A demonstration video not more than 200 MB in size and having a total playing time of between 3 and 7 minutes is also required which will be developed along with screen shots.
