In a globalized business environment, especially with an internet-based organization, diversity is the atmosphere where the organization is operating due to the borderless reach of the internet. The internet is the platform where the geopolitical boundaries are virtually removed as almost anyone can access it and as its customers are diversified, it would be necessary for the organization to promote diversity within the organization to be able to effectively relate and respond to its varying customers.

Diversity does not only mean the differences and multiformity of background and perception but more importantly, the respect and acceptance of these differences not just to promote harmony in the organization but also to grow as an organization by learning from each other’s varying backgrounds which could later translate to a better response to customers who are also diversified.

This can be done by integrating its value as part of the company vision-mission and then further strengthening it by reinforcing it through company policies and practices.
