Self knowledge assists individuals to know their skills, values and interests. This is crucial because individuals are able to get into careers that are more satisfying. Market knowledge helps individuals to be aware of the available opportunities. This is most important to those who want to seek jobs in private sectors where they might need to change jobs.

Effective self presentation entails how a person will conduct himself in interviews.
