The chapter also presented the aim, objectives, and research questions along with highlighting the rationale for the research topic and its scope in the social and educational environment. The literature review chapter presented a critical analysis over the concept of sustainability in the context of the event management industry. It was found that the concept of sustainability has been in practice from a long period of time but still true value and benefits derived vary from organisation to organisation.
It was also found that the benefits of sustainability are huge only when aligned with the environmental, social, and economic objectives. The research methodology chapter presented an overview of the different elements of the methodology. The chapter concluded that the proposed elements of the methodology are good enough to seek relevant findings and outcomes pertaining to the research topic. The findings and analysis chapter found that majority of the interviewees believed that sustainability is a major issue in the event management industry.
However, it was also ascertained that in order to mitigate the challenges of sustainability. The conclusion and recommendation chapter presented an overview of the conclusion and recommendations derived from the analysis of the association between the primary and secondary research. It was found that the primary and secondary research findings have a bit of positive association in terms of engaging event participants in the events in order to create more awareness. It was also found that social and environmental value needs to be increased in order to attain economic benefits along with making events sustainable in the social environment.
