Download file to see previous pages Introduction Rechargeable batteries such as lead acid accumulators and lithium accumulators are applied in number of operations. For example, lead acid accumulators are mainly used to start engines such those of cars and motorcycles among others. They are also used to store solar energy in situations where solar panels are used as sources of energy. Regardless of the fact that they are widely used in the above mentioned operations, none of these lead acid accumulators has been incorporated with instruments (pre-installed meters) such as ammeters and voltmeters that show amount of power (amount of available current or voltage respectively) that is available (Benson 2006). This has forced users of these devices use external voltmeters or ammeters to measure amount of voltage or current that is available respectively. Also, during charging operations these accumulators are not able to show whether they are fully charged or not; this may lead to overcharging and consequently reduction in life of the accumulators (Benson 2006). It is, therefore, important that these accumulators be fitted with pre-installed meters (ammeters and voltmeters). ...
This will be possible since the proposed product will be fitted with a screen or analogue indicator that is capable of showing amount of charge available in an accumulator and the level of charge while the accumulators are undergoing charging operations. This paper, therefore, has proposed extension on Rechargeable batteries such as lead acid accumulators and lithium accumulators. The extension is such that the newly produced lead acid accumulators and/or lithium accumulators are fitted with instruments capable of measuring levels of both available current and voltage. These instruments maybe ammeters or voltmeters (they may also be either digital or analogue provided the required information is displayed effectively). The proposed extension is expected to enable users know whether their accumulators are charging or not or whether they are full while being charged on or not. Analysis of the market Whenever any new product is to be released into the market for the customers, an extensive and detailed market research should be carried out. It is normally carried out in order to make informed decisions regarding what the customers want, and how they would view the proposed modification (Cole& Kelly 2011). If a product is released into the market without necessarily carrying out proper market research, problems that would have been avoided may affect the market as well as sale of the product; thereby impacting negatively on the producers of the product (Anderson 2007). Therefore, carrying out market research is imperative when a new product or a modified product is to be released into the market. The data that may be collected during market analysis include: how the customers would perceive the modified product, the current market size of the current ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Western Policies have Lead to Islamic Fundamentalism

It was used to producing a generation of colonialists’ tutored primarily to take over the lands that they were being taught about. The purpose of their academics was to make them familiar with the land and the people, and in turn, bring about their conquest.

Second, Edward Said discusses how by defining ‘Orientalism’ the Western scholars were actually defining themselves. By constantly pointing out the differences between the ‘East’ and the ‘West’, Orientalists themselves produced a divide. The West being liberated, open, and innovative; while the East is portrayed as backward, confined, and superstitious. This continuous brainwashing gave the future ‘liberators’ of...

Poor Leadership Can Lead to Low Morale

...Poor Leadership Can Lead To Low Morale The concept that poor leadership can lead to low morale and its negative effect to subordinates and individuals is no longer a new thing. There is a link that connects to the morale of an invidual and to the kind of leadership to where an individual or group is treated. In addition, based on the findings of experts, poor leadership has negative effects to the subordinates both to mental and physical aspects. By getting into the definition of leadership, it is said that leadership is a manner by which a leader will influence other people to do what he wants them to do without necessarily imposing and insisting authority. There are different ways by which poor leadership can be classified...

Use of Batteries as Power Sources

Plus key issues exacting to a low-side Li-ion protector circuit are converse. The transients shaped when the Li-ion protector opens throughout a brief short or when the battery is unplugged even as beneath load may exceed the voltage rating of semiconductors in the battery set. This theme describes a number of plan issues and suggests solutions to make your mind up or get better them. The resolution of these subjects requires attention to together the circuit design and the printed circuit board (PCB) explains.

If we analyzed the Fig. 1 then we come to know that it is a block drawing of circuitry in a typical Li-ion battery set. It demonstrates an instance of a security protection circuit for the Li-ion cells and a gas...

Acid Phosphatase Activity in Phosphorus-Deficient White Lupin Roots

The major findings of the research are: the four-fold increase in acid phosphatase from phosphorus-deficient (–P) root exudates compared to Phosphorus sufficient (+P) normal roots and twofold more than the –P normal roots (p803). Molybdate enhanced proliferation roots in plants receiving organic phosphates (glycerophosphate or phytate) is a source of phosphorus. The -P conditions induced a new isoform (isoform 2) of acid phosphatase which moved faster on a gel. This –P induced isoform 2 along with isoform 1 was found both in the exudates and extracts of –P normal roots also, though the quantity was much higher in roots. The isoform 2 appeared at 12 DAE (days after emergence) in –P plant root. Phytase...

The Use of Deoxyribonucleic Acid in Crime Investigations

.... This paper will discuss these delays and the changes that can be made in the legislative structures that govern crime investigation in the United States of America. DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) has the makeup of a person encoded within it. It is a unique code that helps identify a person. It can be used to distinguish between persons. Samples of DNA can be collected from a person’s saliva, hair and other parts of that person’s body. Such information can be later used to verify the identity of the criminal and can be used for matching with the samples that are collected from him or her (“Use of DNA in Criminal Investigations”, n.d.). While these can be collected from the suspects later on during the time of the conviction, the samples...

History and Effects of Lead Poisoning in United States

...History and effects of lead poisoning in United s School Affiliation: Lead poisoning It is rather both saddening and puzzling that humans have to contend with the ever-present likelihood of contacting new illness. Despite showing unmatched skills in inventing and developing the technology enjoyed worldwide today, sicknesses still pose a challenge to man. Whereas it is factual to state that some diseases have been overcome courtesy of unending tenacity to find a cure, some diseases, sadly are still terrorizing the human race. Worse still, is the manner in which some of these diseases are passed; the methods seem so ludicrous one would be forgiven for ignoring even the mere suggestion. Take for instance, lead poisoning, which in itself...

The Role of Urbanization Development of Acid Rain and Its Effects on the Environment

Acid rain comes in both wet and dry deposition. The wet deposition is snow, sleet, fog and rain that usually have a higher PH acidic value than the normal rainfall. Dry deposition is when gases and dust particles also end up having a higher acidic value. Both dry & wet deposition can be carried for long distances by the wind as sulfur dioxide and nitric acid easily mix with other substance and they are light in weight thus wind can carry them for long distances. The formation of this deposition occurs when environmental pollutants containing a higher value of sulfuric dioxide and nitric oxide mix together. Acid rain formation is affected by both natural and man-made sources as well as the burning of fossil fuel that emits both...
