As consumers are getting awareness regarding the health implications of soft drinks, they are quickly adopting safer alternatives. Certain schools have banned the selling of carbonated drinks in their premises due to health risks and the increased hyperactivity in the children. This has impacted the sales of carbonated drinks considerably since teenagers are the biggest market for carbonated drinks.

These drinks are been replaced by fruit juices, bottled water and other healthy drinks. This quick replacement to other drinks also suggests that the beverage industry has become very saturated as all kinds of drinks are being introduced by the competitors and consumers can quickly change from one to the other. Thus, a time has come where the need of the soft drink company is to evolve itself.
