Information technology is critical for innovation that translates to business success. Most businesses have benefited from the digital revolution since even hands-on activities such as agriculture today need computers for procurement, research, financial planning, and record-keeping purposes. Information technology promotes business innovation that has resulted in wider information distribution, faster processing, improvement in data storage, and smarter applications (Berisha-Shaqiri 2014). Through innovation, businesses can run more efficiently and boost, enhance quality, and increase the value of productivity.

Innovation linked to information technology has made the business go through a number of radical changes. For example, it has made online shopping to be more efficient compared to store shopping. It has also made digital marketing more efficient than high-cost radio, television, and newspaper advertising. In addition, social networking has been more efficient as opposed to going to clubs and Voice over Internet Protocol communication is better than legacy telephony (Apăvăloaie 2014).1.1 ObjectivesThe paper aims to implement an information technology infrastructure to support the processes of supply chain processes when booking a car from a typical car dealer (Marinagi, Trivellas & Sakas 2014).

The goals of the report are:Examine the chain processes of booking a car from a typical car dealer;Determine the suitable technology needed for each of the processes; andRecommend the best provider of technology out of the sellers that are suggested.1.2 Current Situation (Including the entire relevant internal situation)The model of business activity focuses on the events executed when booking a customer-made car from a car manufacturer. It highlights how businesses and customers can work together to produce cars that suit the specifications of the customers and the production technology in the production plants.

The model is a logistic function and supply chain for booking a new car that entails essential steps which include booking, provision of specifications, procurement, scheduling, manufacturing, assembling, and payment.1.3 AssumptionsThe study is a theoretical concept thus not an actual process in Australia.
