A Reflective Learning Journal from Week 1 to Week 12 for Information Technology - Report Example

This being the first week, the focus was on the general introduction of the unit. Some of the issues addressed this week were, the impact of Information Technology in the modern world. As we all know IT has affected our lives in a very great way. Everything we do in one way or another is related to IT. It is important that all IT professionals be adequately equipped with the necessary knowledge to help them provide solutions to the problems facing society every day. In doing so, they have to understand their roles and responsibilities so as to be able to work efficiently in their duties.

This unit is intended to help us (IT students) know what is expected of us and be adequately prepared to face the challenges we will face as It professionals in the future.During this week we were also introduced to the unit coordinators as well as the lecturers who will be taking us through the rest of the topics in the entire unit. To help us understand this course better, we are supposed to interact with lecturers who will be delivering lecture content for all the tops as well as determining the assignment and exam contents ratified through the unit coordinator.

The Super Tutor will be the main point of contact for the unit administration and support the Unit Coordinator in overseeing lecture and workshop flow.Tutors in this unit will have the responsibility of conducting the workshop and help us get the best value out of them. They will also be providing advice related to assignments as well as marking those assignmentsStudents are required to check their emails regularly and to use appropriate email etiquetteSome of the resources to be used in this course include blackboard, library, Google and Wikipedia, teaching team, peers, family, and friends.
