Enterprise 2.0 (Blog) Enterprise 2.0 (Blog) Activity one Purpose of the Blog The purpose of my blog will be to share information about healthy lifestyles. Many people in the current society are affected by serious health conditions because of poor lifestyles. This blog will focus on improving people’s health by encouraging them to engage in healthy lifestyles through awareness creation. For instance, I will share information about the effects of obesity, especially prevention by adopting healthy lifestyles such as engaging in physical exercise and eating healthy foods. How to Create Useful Posts The posts usually determine the quality of a blog. In order to create useful posts, one needs to write relevant information. This means that the information posted should relate to the purpose of the blog. This can be achieved by doing more research about the posted subject (Preul & Tiedt, 2008). For instance, one can conduct researches by reading more books and interacting with people in order to know their experiences about the subject. One can also write useful posts by reading other related blogs in order to get ideas. The posts should be informative by making them unique. People are unlikely to see the importance of reading the post if it contains all the information they already know. A thorough research of the subject to be posted enables one to know areas that have not been covered by other bloggers (Preul & Tiedt, 2008). Strategies for Obtaining Readership One of the strategies for obtaining readership includes making the blog content unique and interesting. Creating blog contents that cannot be found in other blogs gives people a reason to read the blog contents. Writing an interesting blog requires passion. Passion enables one to write interesting posts. My other strategy for obtain readership is by actively engaging the audience. This can be achieved by creating a comment section where I will be asking questions and allow the audience to also ask questions. Active engagement also involves responding to the audience questions on time and effectively. In addition, readability can be obtained by frequently updating the blog. Outdated information on the blog may discourage readers. Another way to obtain readership is to make the blog simple. This can be done by making the post comprehensive. Easy navigation through the blog also encourages the audience to read the content. Many people are usually discouraged reading posts in a complex blog. The blog should also have links connecting it to other sites, especially social platforms. This will help in attracting more readers. Readership will also be enhanced by recognizing other bloggers by constructively commenting on their blogs. This will help in creating a good reputation for my blog (Lecture 2). Examples of Existing Blogs An example of an excellent blog is the japanCRUSH blog. The blog contains political information and social scandals that cannot be found in other blogs. The blog is also of high quality because its content is easy to read. It can also be accessed from other sites because its link is connected to the sites. This has enhanced the readership of the blog. The other high quality blog is the Lifehacker. The purpose of this blog includes sharing information about life and technology. The blog is attractive because of its minimalist layout and readable contents. References Preul, W., & Tiedt, B. (2008). Professional Community server themes. Indianapolis, IN: Wiley. Lecture 2.
