System Change Proposal Introduction Magarena is a computer card game, which is a product of Java s and Swing. It is an artificial intelligence game in which a human being plays against a computer using forty cards. The game has rules governing how it has to be played. A user has several chances to scroll and have a look at the next available cards. It is possible to check the deck strength before playing in order to maximize the chances of winning. It is a quick game (Blair 69). When a user makes mistakes, the game program allows him or her to cancel error and make the right move.
Magarena is a multi-platform game capable of running on both Windows and Linux.PurposeThis paper is a proposal of an advanced version of Magarena that can allow many players to compete in while playing the video clips. Presently, only one player can play the latest version of Magarena 2012. The newest Magarena version is going to be version 2013, with improved functionality. Apart from being able to run on Windows, Mac and Linux, Magarena 2013 will run on Mobile Operating Systems such as Android and IPod (Miguel 49).
Magarena 2013 will be a system to aid in the early child hood education.System OverviewThe latest Magenta is release 1.34 which is an improvement from its previous version, release 1.33. The former release had about 11 bugs which the new release managed to fix correctly. In the previous version, only 40 cards could play but in the present version after fixing the bugs, users can use 93 cards. A major feature of 1.34 is that its manufacturer has provided support to it to be able to use Groovy to add codes that are fixed only to playing cards.
SourceMagarena is an open source game that can easily be downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/magarena/. The Windows version can be placed in any folder and executed by running it as any other executable program. It can run on windows, Linux and Mac (Andersen 39). The prerequisite is that it should have a Java jar file. Most of the download resources are downloaded separately, not as a single large download file. SummaryThis proposal intends to make sure that Magarena 2013 has a classic Graphical user interface.
The conceptual design is going to be ready in a period of two months. So far, the algorithm for the design and coding is ready. Magarena 2013 will be designed to have a cover a wider screen. The appearance will also be impressive with a professional mixture of color and texture (Vorderer 73). We are intending to form a team of professional programmers, in which we will assign each team member a team a specific task. We are committed to the design and development of this game considering that it plants an educative role of triggering cognitive abilities in young learners (Newman 56).
The game enables them to develop their thinking capacity. Apart from this, they enable young learners to develop problem skills. Works Cited Andersen, Neil.
