I. Identify the following change images which can be identified in the assumptions about managing turnover o Change Manager as Director  The roleof a Director is the image that is predominant with Gunter because he was able to identify the Green Mountain Resort’s most pressing issue which is its high turnover rate. Immediately, he made initiatives to solve the problem. o Change Manager as Navigator The change manager served as navigator because it directed the energy and resources of Green Mountain Resort to its biggest problem which is labor turnover.

As a result of this role as a navigator, the company become effective and efficient in solving the turnover rate. o Change Manger as Caretaker  The Change Manager served as a caretaker of its employees by giving importance to them through training and improvement of management process to keep the employees and avoid the turnover. II. Discuss how these assumptions influence prescription for dealing with a company’s “turnover. ” These assumptions enabled the company to institute reforms such as effective training programs to enable new hires to become effective with their jobs.

These assumptions also enabled the management to improve its process and simplify jobs which made it manageable for its employees.III. Explain how Change Manager as Coach can be applied to the “turnover problem”. To what new insights does it lead? Gunter as a coach offered a superb training to their new hires that made them effective in their jobs and made him attached to them. As a result of this role as a coach, Green Mountain was able to arrest the turnover problem and made a turnaround in the company by making it as one of the reputable company that provides excellent training to its employees.

This reputation of offering excellent training to its employees did not only solve the turnover problem but also made the company as the prospective employee’s “preferred company” due to its positive image about training.
