? System analysis Introduction In business, system analysis and design can be regarded as the process of monitoring the business situation with the aim of improving the procedures and methods of the business. This enables the business in improving performance, and achieving the goals and objectives in terms of profitability and the growth. System design can be seen as the process of planning new business system, to replace the existing with the new system, or to complement an existing system with new system (Alan D., 2008). System analysis is the process of gathering and interpreting facts, diagnosing problem and also recommendation to improve the system. Case study project Analysis The small businesses should plan and gather facts that will ensure that the business in operated and conducted in a profitable manner (Fertuck, 2009). The existing system is not effective to the business because it does not provide effective and efficient management information. The report being provided by the system is manually prepare and does not provide the owner of the business with reports that will enable the owner to aggregate the data. The information that can be generated can be easily get away and get lost or unauthorized person get it. New system should be developed which will easy the working and safeguard the information as well as safe time to retrieve the information. Business related upgrade The business should upgrade the system to strategies increase marketing, sales, quoting, billing and administration (Keng S., 2010). The system will help the business to prepare the work sheets of the employee and the company to prepare the payroll for the employee. System upgrades The business should develop new system to enable the business to operate more effectively and efficiently (Roger C., 2009). The computer system will help the business to achieve the predetermined objectives. The system should be characterized by organization, interaction, interdependent, integration and central objective. Organization can order and structure its arrangement of components that can help it achieve objectives of the business (Shouhong W., 2012). The business can develop this kind of design in order to show the hierarchical relationship between the managers to the employees. This defines the management structure, specifies the formal communication structure and the chain of command. This will easy operation of the system since the system processes data required within a very short time and in an orderly manner. Feasibility study The aim of the business is to increase productivity and the performance of the business. This is enhanced by efficient and effective systems that might be employed by the business (Shelly, 2006). The systems should be able to provide effective way of communicating to customers. The system also must provide the payrolls and its less time consuming and the risk over the business is decreased. Recommendations for upgrading The alternative recommendation for upgrading the system is prototyping which is process of building a model of system. The prototypes are employed to help the designers build an information system that is easy to be used and manipulated by the user (Vinod K.G., 2004). This system is important since its reduction development time and cost, higher user satisfaction and also quantifiable user feedback. User requirement User requirements explain what users require from the system. User requirements specifications are written in the validation process. Functional requirements Functional requirements capture the intended characteristics of the system (Shelly, 2010). This characteristic can be expressed as service, task or functions the system is required to perform. In product development is useful to distinguish between the baseline functionality necessary for any system to compete in that product domain. Nonfunctional requirements Nonfunctional requirements describe system attributes such as maintainability, reliability, security and scalability (Roger C., 2009). They can be also be constraints on the design of the system Initial feasibility analysis Initial feasibility analysis is mainly concerned with the analysis of data using the integrated systems that are used by the business like the desktops. Technical feasibility is the analysis of the project requirements and then compared technically to the capability of the organization (Patel, 2005). The system project is considered technically feasible if the internal technical capability is sufficient to support the project requirements. Operational feasibility Operational feasibility is a measure of how good a proposed system solves problems and takes advantage of the opportunities discovered during definition of the project and its satisfaction to the requirement identified in the analysis phase (Kenneth E. K., 2011). This operational feasibility reviews the willingness of organization to support the proposed system. Schedule feasibility This involves measure of how reasonable the project timetable is (Keng S., 2010). This is important to guide the organization on the time they are required the complete the project and also time remaining to complete the project. The system is involved in the advertising the company and their businesses in the more details (J.B., 2007). It focuses on their strongest points and gives the detailed about the company’s history on insurance, licenses, awards and certifications. Upgrading PBA Business process automation is a method that businesses use to automate the process to control the cost. Business process automation is necessary in increasing the efficiency of the company so as it can easily overcome the errors that are produced in the manual system (Gupta, 2008). This helps the company to come up with favorable business activities that will make the business to operate in a more feasible and effective that will increase the profit of the business (Gupta, 2008). The business process automation is important that it will manage the department and credit information of the suppliers and also will manage information relating to both the private and contract based clients. Other benefits of the business process automation is improves efficiency, increased productivity, managing and creating visibility and control of the business process. Business process redesign This plan involves investigation and designing of the processes within the business and between the organizations in order to increase the performance measures of a system. The appropriate way of implementing this method is information engineering which entails concentration on the business data and the same time gives a lot of consideration technique that ensures sensitivity in the business (Gary B. Shelly, 2011). This process of information strategy management involves evaluation of all business activities and the related methodologies that are applied in analyzing the systems. Business areas are streamlined and priorities are suggested for them. Business area encompasses a group of inter-related business activities that are supposed to be interlinked to achieve business goals (Fertuck, 2009). Finally the business area requirement analysis involves the application of the information strategy being refined so that the application becomes the reference project in which other methods of system analysis and design come up with a complete and effective system (Edwards, 1993). Economic feasibility deals with the cost and benefits of the information system (Alan D., 2008). The purpose of economic analysis is to determine whether there is an economic case for the investment decision. References Alan D., B. H. W. R. M. R., 2008. Systems Analysis and Design. 4th ed.
