The Changing Status of American Women Since 1865 Introduction This event is important to my final year paper as it shows clearly the changes that women want, the challenges they faced and how much they are willing to fight to have what they want.New dressing StylesWomen are discarding they old fashioned way of dressing and picking up new styles. They no longer care about the companies which initially produced their baggage clothing and now face a risk of bankruptcy due to women change of dressing code.

The change is evident every summer and is also clearly seen with the role models in the movies. This is leading to nudity as very few people realize that fashion are in morals any more (Gundersen, 2006).Women are no longer pleasant with being treated womanly. They are already tired of the feminine-amulet stuff. Women want to be independent, vote, garner a living and do all other things that men do. They demand to be loved in a give and take manner where both parties are equal. It is how ever still not deemed as the right thing to do and many see it as being un-fair to women (Roberts, 2012).

People believe that the war destabilized the balances between men and women. Women are thus taking on the new styles so as to engage in a competition with men more so their husbands. They have taken on a battle with men and the war is nearly complete (Greenwald, 1978). What we are not toldWe have not been told what men are doing to keep their so called first place in the community. They however have been portrayed as always right and that the right thing for a woman to do is what is right to man’s thoughts.

This is why they can feel playing an un-fair game by treating women as an equal to them.Conclusion In nutshell we see clearly that women are in agreement that they are equal to men and purpose to be treated that way.
