Museum Research Paper: Dusable Museum of African American History The DuSable Museum of African American History standsout as the oldest central African American autonomous museum labelled to gather, interpret, and reserve the experiences, achievements, and African American history. The 40 years of good work exhibited at the museum has seen it collect and show artifacts and art by and concerning African diaspora’s people and mother continent regions.
I visited the website of this museum and learned so much of political science aspects. Of most significance to me is the Red, White, Blue, and Black: A History of Blacks in the Armed Services exhibition (www.dusablemuseum.org). Here, I learned that the call to serve one’s nation usually has a special importance in deliberating the highest citizenship claim and loyal responsibility. The sarcasm however, for the millions of black people who have served in the U.S army, the right to serve, struggle, and die for the beloved America has been a fight of its own several years back before the colonies recruited its militia. The exhibition features over 100 objects and artifacts in the museum’s collection, starting with the Revolutionary War up to the Vietnam War.
Further, the Red, White, Blue, and Black: A History of Blacks in the Armed Services features hundreds of documents and images divided into the Revolutionary War, the two World Wars, The American Civil War, The Korean War, and the Westward Expansion (www.dusablemuseum.org). Having studied s much about this on the website, I noticed that throughout African American History, soldiers have always been dedicated to fight for the backs and the US as a whole

... Museum Assignment It has been said that art is a reflection of society. It is often seen that art canbe a barometer of the people’s emotions, feelings and the like. After all, painting is another way of keeping a diary, according to Picasso. For this assignment, I picked three works of art that I think would greatly reflect the values of the 21st century, and has had an impact in today’s society. 1. War by Jackson Pollock (1947) Jackson Pollock is an American artist. He was famous for his drip paintings and is a major figure in American painting, specifically in abstract expressionism. He was the purveyor of the drip technique, and this was seen as the origins of action painting. This was his way of challenging the Western style... inches....

...by Romans in 140-170 AD to serve as the final resting place of a Roman military commander. The exterior walls of the sarcophagus are decorated with a battle scene between soldiers and Amazons, the legendary warrior women of the ancient world. As described in one of the pages the official website of the Museum of Fine Arts entitled 100 Highlights of the MFAH, the military soldiers wear helmet, short tunics, and body army; and are equipped with swords and round shields. The Amazons, on the other hand, ride in horses with their companions lying dead on the ground.
