 I choose non-organic due to the low cost. Organic farming practices are designed to reduce pollution from chemicals and encourage water and soil conservation. Farmers who grow organic produce and meat do not use conventional methods to fertilize, control livestock disease or weeds. This ensures the conservation of the environment as well as good health to consumers of organic products. By consuming conventional foods, I have been encouraging more farmers to use chemicals and fertilizers in their farming, which have an adverse effect on the environment.

I need to change from consuming conventional foods and cross over to consuming organic foods to care for the environment and my health. This way, I will influence my colleagues and friends to go organic who may question the reason for a change in my habits. This will cause many farmers to leave conventional farming, and better environmental conditions achieved by adopting better eating habits.
