Introduction Plastic surgery can be defined as one of the medical specialties which use the surgical techniques in order to try and change the appearance of people's body. This surgery can then be classified in to two broad aspects which is the cosmetic surgery and the second one is the reconstructive surgery. Cosmetic surgery in this case can be developed out of the self confidence and it can be used to give the good appearance which so many people wish to have. A good example to explain this can be common to so many women who use cosmetics to try and beautify themselves. Reconstructive surgery on the other hand can be defined as the surgery which can be pursued by so many people and this is only appropriate to those people who have irregular formations on their bodies. So, it is due to these irregular formations on ones body which has led to the reconstructive surgery by these people in order to try and make their bodies look good and also proportional. An example is the presence of a broken scar or even an earlobe which is so common to so many people. It is due to this fact you will tend to find that people will do plastic surgery on their bodies. So in real essence, plastic surgery is done on people's body in order to try and change their looks. So research was done in most of the teenagers and adults since these are the type of people who are basically doing plastic surgery so that they can be in a position to try and change their bodies' images. It was out of the research which was done on these people which gave the following advantages and disadvantages. (Lovice, 2000). Advantages Plastic surgery can have so many advantages but only when the right procedures have been applied. A good example to explain this is the case of the cosmetic surgery which is one of the plastic surgeries used by so many people. This is because cosmetic surgery can be one of the things one would need in order to enhance ones image. Everyone would love to have a beautiful look and this is what is making so many people to dash for plastic surgery since with plastic surgery, one is in a position to improve on ones image. Plastic surgery has been a solution for so many people to try and change their images. Plastic surgery is seen to have peoples sensitivity, psychology and bodily. This is because in most cases, the representation or even the observation of ones body can be used in many cases to manage ones life obliquely. In this case, am trying to say than plastic surgery can help in improving ones facade and hence can be used as one of the achievement to ones life. You find that during the growth of a person especially those people who are brought up at the rural areas whereby they have to do most of the families activities say looking after the cattle, collecting firewood's, you will find that these people are exposed to so many body arms which will lead to so many scars in their bodies. At times, such scars are not well pleasing to look at and hence it is due to this fact you will find that so many people will do plastic surgery so that they can be in a position to improve on their appearance. So in this case, plastic surgery will have the impact of improving ones body hence leading to ones excel in life. (Lovice, 2000). Plastic surgery has also the advantage of making people to look healthier and energetic. You find that so many people can have the benefits of plastic surgery not only at their early ages but they can have these benefits even at any given age. This is because it is not sensitive to age. Even the old people can use plastic surgery so that they can be in a position to look good and healthy. So in this case, for example those adult people who do plastic surgery, they eventually prepare themselves mentally for the gorgeous and beautiful looks hence can make them look good and healthy. It is due to the development of their looks which can then be seen to make them live more energetically. Patients in this case are also seen to have an emotional powerful improvement while performing plastic surgery. An example to explain this case is the case for hand surgery, eyelid surgery and breast reconstruction. It is due to this fact you will tend to find that those people who do plastic surgery have the chances of living more energetically merely because they are living their lives cheerfully through the striking looks which they have. (Lovice, 2000). Another advantage is that plastic surgery say the cosmetic surgery can make you have a positive image which is coupled with a self confidence that you will be in a position to get a good job. This is because in many of the job advertisements, it is so much imperative to have a good image. Even in the many jobs which are advertised in newspapers or even through the internet, majority of these job vacancies specifies that they want smart ladies. So in this case, elegance has been taken as one of the qualifications of securing a good job. So with the cosmetic surgery, one is self confident that she will get a good career hence will be in a position to have improved standards of living. So plastic surgery in this case is very much supreme since it's through using of such plastic surgery people can be in a position to have the opportunities of getting a good job. (Gryskiiemicz, 2000). Another advantage is that through plastic surgery, one is in a position to correct the many physical defects which people may tend to develop as they grow old. Some of these physical defects may have so many causes say, one might have been involved in an accident hence leading to a scar in your body. Some other people are too, born with such physical defects hence it's sometimes good to do plastic surgery so that we can be in a point to try and correct them. So, it is due to the physical defects which many people develop which may lead to cosmetic surgery. So when one does cosmetic surgery, one will be in a position to live an ordinary life since you find that many a times, those young children who have physical defects are usually mocked or even teased by others in school. So in order to try and avoid this problem, cosmetic surgery will be imperative in this case since it will help these people to appreciate their bodies hence leaving a longer time. (Gryskiiemicz, 2000). Plastic surgery is usually taken by people so that they can be in a position to look more energetic and also to try and please themselves. This is because you will find that when one has used plastic surgery, there is the development of a personal self esteem. It is due to this reality then you will find that terror and also misery will have decreased in this meticulous person. This is because you will discover that it's during plastic surgery when the person will have a normal look hence making him/her to even look more good and happy. So it is through plastic surgery one can be in a position to have an improved self esteem hence meaning that he will be satisfied since she has a normal appearance just like any other person. This is because so many people tend to dislike themselves due to the many physical defects which they have. It is due to this you will find that this person can not perform well as expected due to the sense of self denial of ones body. Its through plastic surgery one can change own appearance hence live a normal life. (Yanaga, 1996). Disadvantages Plastic surgery is one of the surgical surgeries which not so many people should be running to. This is because it carries with it so many risks since it will involve a surgical operation. Plastic surgery has more disadvantages through the research which was done with the teenagers and the adults. One of the major disadvantages in this case is that the plastic surgery could lead to further infection of the body. You will find that most of the chemicals which are used in plastic surgery some of them can be more injurious to ones body hence leading to added complication. Also you will find that plastic surgery in many cases uses the unsterilized razor blades and some of the se razorblades may not have been sterilized. It is with this fact you will tend to find that if not well sterilized, chances of getting infected with certain diseases are so high. (Yanaga, 1996). Another disadvantage is that one may not live through the plastic surgery. So in this case, this means that plastic surgery is not a permanent thing. It goes wearing out as one grows old. So it does not mean that after plastic surgery has been done on your body, you will live through it. So this means that you have to do plastic surgery time and again and this might be costly. So in this case, you will find that those people who do plastic surgery waste a lot of money doing it since they have to do it time and again. A good example to explain this is the case of the cosmetic surgery which so many ladies do use. These cosmetics most of them are too expensive and hence those people who use them end up using a lot of money in order to purchase the. Such money could be used in other economic activities since people have to appreciate the way they look like. This is because they were created at the image of God and should not make any plastic surgery since it even makes them look worse. (Romo, 2001). Plastic surgery has the disadvantage of leaving spots or even marks in your body. You find that when one has done plastic surgery, s body mark has to be left on you body but in this case it can not be corrected through plastic surgery. This becomes a permanent body mark. An example can be seen in the cosmetic surgery which is done by so many women. So here, you will find that after the cosmetic surgery has been done, it will eventually leave some marks on you body which will require further plastic surgery. Some of these marks or even spots are permanent hence meaning that they can not be treated by plastic surgery. It is due to this fact you will find that more spots which be left in you body hence making your appearance even more worse. (Romo, 2001). Plastic surgery has also the problem of would commotion of overlying skin and also it might lead to further infections in your body. These would commotions can sometimes be more serious hence leading to even death. So with plastic surgery, it can sometimes be more dangerous if not well applied. So, it's more advisable to ensure that the correct procedure has been applied when choosing such surgeries. (Romo, 2001). Conclusion Plastic surgery is very much important for those people who do deal with self esteem. But the best thing to do is to ensure that one has done enough research and study on the best way to use such surgeries. This is because if they are not well applied, they may have some risks on ones body which may make your body to even look worse. So before one can take plastic surgery, it is very much important to ensure that you are well planned financially since plastic surgery is so much costly and can lead to more problems. Doctors or even surgeons need also to be chosen well to ensure that they have given the best services which are needed. So in this case, plastic surgery has so many advantages which outweigh the disadvantages since with plastic surgery, you can be in a position to change your life for the better. This is because everyone deserves to look good and no one would wish to have a bad look. It is due to this fact many people have adopted plastic surgery so that they can improve on their body appearances. Reference Lovice, Brian.
