? Future Direction of Health Care Introduction There are abundant challenges that define the future strategic direction of health care. Some of the challenges that have been raised include advancements in information technology, future funding and third party payers, health care reform, uninsured and unmerited populace and entrance and advancing epoch of populace are among the recent challenges in health care that will have a vital influence on the strategic direction of the future. Organizations must develop directions and strategies to tackle such challenges effectively. Proposed health care reform and legislation Although it is an advanced and complicated trade, the health care diligence has been an integral necessity for humans. Individualized care is projected to continue to develop as the citizens keep aging, and health along with medical issues of specialized conditions like heart problems and cancers keep on increasing. This rapid growth calls for quality improvement needed for consumer or employee gratification such as implementation of information structures, which will save time and money and be beneficial to all (Sultz and Young, 2009). Demographics and lifestyles of a location are the hub of numerous marketers for the promotion of products information technology is also vital as well as health care marketing. Without understanding the location, people’s needs and preferences as well as their spending habits successful marketing may not occur. The elder population has risen to be a matter that has a vital influence on the national and state economic, social and health care policy. The Baby Boomers generation is expected to turn 65 this year, and, by 2015, the sum will be even higher. Thus, the aging population will be facing several challenges among them the shortage in nursing staffing, cost of pharmaceutical drugs, and clinical care. As the older population ages, they spend their accumulated wealth and pension to pay for their medical care costs. This sometimes costs them all their savings and assets. Approximately 80% of persons aged 65 and above countrywide have at least one chronic condition and half of them have two. Clinical progresses have decreased several effects of some unceasing sickness such as heart ailment, tumor, diabetes, and stroke but the American society has not succeeded in altering people’s behaviors such as physical activity, excessive Alcohol consumption, and poor nutritional that affect these diseases (Moseley, 2009). Information technology advancements including the electronic medical, or health, record (EMR/EHR) Adaptation of electronic recordings of specific medical information aims to create a system, whereby; all records of health could be connected allowing links for patients, payers and providers to preserve. Electronic clinical support structures provide the main functions of managerial such as coding, documenting and procedural authorization. They also assist in costs control such as avoiding of duplication of medication ordering or testing. Additionally dedication support is also another sector that uses IT in clinical, promotion use of best population-based control tools. Databases contain valuable information, which can be parted out, in particular reports, or be compiled for a total in-depth report (Moseley, 2009). This information also can be used for developing programs for civilizing admittance to quality health care for the American public like that used in Telemedicine.  The application of integration in the health care field allows fewer medical errors, cost savings, fewer hassles and enhance health. Health care information advances have developed to involve the application of electronic systems of data retrieval and storage. Access to health care including the uninsured and those in the poverty levels It is approximated that 47 million Americans lack adequate health insurance and, therefore, cannot pay for health care. The foundation of this swing in uninsured folks gives acclaim to the mounting costs and dwindles in Medicaid reporting, which was commonly related to the consign of habitation and employment rank. The organizations should be willing to learn what their customers’ desire and aim at providing it ways that are satisfactory to the customers. Customers are integral parties in organizations, marketing strategy and, therefore, organizations should strive to comprehend the customers for them to establish an appropriate relationship. IT advancements future funding add third party payers, health care reforms uninsured and advancing epoch of the population are among the challenges that will still have vital effects on the strategic direction of the future (Moseley, 2009). Conclusion There exist several challenges that surround and define the future of strategic direction of health care. The government has many health funded programs currently to help the elderly and the sick. The ability to have access to medical services throughout due to technology advancement and via the internet is enabling patients to take responsibility of their health care.
