These children spend most of their time in schools where they engage in various activities which their teachers may not even aware of. As a result of this many school curriculums have gone ahead to propose ways in which children could be educated about the environment so that they understand what is there and how they can avoid landing themselves into problems. Children are not left behind in this exercise and the organization has continuously come up with measures that are aimed at protecting the interests of the children (WHO, 2012). The UN body that is specially created to take care of children is UNICEF. The organization is a driving force with the purpose of building a world in which every child’s rights are realized. The organization believes in nurturing and caring for children because it believes that they are the cornerstone of human progress. The organization was created with the purpose of working with other stakeholders to overcome the challenges that “poverty, violence, disease and discrimination bring to a child’s path”.
